Glitches Galore

Likliklik01

Upon opening the app, the text of the username and password box match the background or is invisible as I cannot see what I’m typing. The textbook refused to download so I can’t get access to it.

Ruined by updates.

Jair E.

I used to like this app. Then they updated it and made it a pain-in-the-butt to use. It works, but it isn't fun.

Terrible

gkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

I had to purchase a textbook for school, and it made me download it to this app. The process of doing that was clunky- I had to create and sign into a couple of accounts, and it took way longer than it should have. The interface problems only got worse as I used the app. Everytime I click something it does something other than what I want it to do and it messes everything up. Idk how to explain it better-the interface is just horrible. Additionally, the chapter labels are unhelpful and misleading, and this just caused me to do the wrong chapter of homework. I can’t wait to finish this semester so I can delete this god forsaken app ??

Almost perfect with 1 frustrating feature

Pasieater

Great app with easy highlighting and scroll. The one feature I can’t stand is the “swipe to the next chapter”. Love having my textbook on my iPad so I can leave the physical book at home.

Not working very well

Gabbaryy

Some of the books of core are not working properly.

Keeps crashing

Yonesen

This app just keeps crashing on me.

Awful

Ahhrrie

This app is awful! I stay signed in but consistently have to go get the book again and again. Even though I am paying for it throughout my course, it disappears.?

Horrible interface; needs Apple Pencil support

Serberry

The interface on this app is horrible. The highlighting feature is buggy at best and the notes function is outdated. Every other app allows you to take actual notes with Apple Pencil instead of typing them out, but of course my textbook publisher forces me to use the one app that doesn’t. Honestly, paying the extra $100 for the physical book would have been preferable to using this app...

This app is on high dose benzodiazepines !!

thesecannotpossiblybealltaken

Trying to read the book on this app is so painful. It it's exceedingly slow to respond and frequently freezes, takes 3-4 times longer to get through a page than it should. It's like the app itself is on high dose of benzodiazepines. The highlighter function performs poorly as well. Unfortunately it has been a persistent problem for months now and the developer has been equally slow (to the app) to address. I will be advising the publisher to consider using a different app in the future, and I will avoid buying any books that use it.

UPDATED REVIEW

VLK0212

UPDATE: The developers reached out to me. They made the swipe feature to go between chapters a little more sticky so normal scrolling through the current chapter doesn’t bounce between chapters. It made a HUGE difference. I read 2 chapter (around 60 pages) and it didn’t happen one time. Kudos to their team for being so responsive. Thank you! ??? I love having this access to my textbooks, but the app is infuriating. There aren’t pages to turn like in a Kindle. The chapter eternally scrolls on. If you swipe left or right, it takes you between chapters. Slow scrolling while you’re reading has to be perfectly straight or BOOM you’re in the next chapter. I lose SO MUCH TIME finding where I was because the screen doesn’t lock onto what you’re reading. After a while, I inevitably swipe not perfectly straight and IT HAPPENS AGAIN! Put arrows to go between chapters and lock the scrolling feature.
