You can’t print! Useless for teachers manuals

lucy v pelt

I purchased two teachers manuals that come only in this format if you want the book digitally. However, The iOS app has no print capability for the student pages. I have to go to PC. This negates the reason I bought the ebook! On top of that, the pages printed from the PC have a huge dark watermark and header and are reduced in size. I’m furious with the textbook seller for not making this clear. Also there is no good reason this app can’t have printing capability.

Great but

It’s really easy to lose your place and skip to the next chapter

School is a pain

GGiask

I don’t like school. This book involves school.

I wish all my textbooks were ebooks

SRCb2

This ebook option for my textbook has been essential in my success for my class. I wish all of my textbooks were ebooks. It allows for offline access, so I could listen to my book anywhere, and it would pick up where I left off. I also loved that I could highlight and create notes as well.

Better Option

Painful to use

karriesunshine

This app was acceptable on my Mac and iPad until the most recent update. I use it for my coding courses and trying to use it for looking up codes - especially one book in particular - is VERY painful. Clunky and slow and the search function doesn't work half of the time. When scrolling through, the text disappears, and then once it shows back up, I can’t figure where I am in the text. SO frustrating! It's the same across all devices. Please please PLEASE fix this. I actually HATE this app right now.

Great substitute for printed textbooks

CamBlurn

Easily searchable, annotatable and scrollable.

Extreme choppy slow scroll ruins the experience

Jared0789

Don’t bother skimming or flipping quickly through the content to find your highlights or anything useful… scrolling is slow and choppy, which is utterly amazing considering its a textbook viewing app. Seriously, every app I’ve ever used has scrolled more smoothly than this one and virtually none of those have been intended for doing reading. Aside from rendering the actual text on-screen, I can’t think of anything more important—and this app fails at it. Additionally, the Appendix A where answers to in-text questions are supposed to be is missing chapters 10-50. How does that even happen? With an utter lack of quality checking, care for the user experience, or incentive to actually produce a quality product I suspect. When universities are literally funelling every student to your doorstep and alternatives are scarce to nonexistent, it doesn’t leave much incentive to build something worthwhile, does it?

Not helpful

El_corso

It lacks of illustrations on the is hard to know to know what the text is talking about.

Highlighting issues

SaltySaloon

I can’t imagine my coursework without this app! This app is fantastic in general, but I repeatedly have the issue where suddenly I cannot highlight. I have to close the app and try again. If this bug were fixed, an easy five stars.
