Best app on my phone

I like to read for fun but also for information. Blinkist allows me to read more no -fiction books quickly, getting the main points of the book and gaining the knowledge I seek. As a business owner, I don’t have tome to read 15 books on business cover to cover each year. Blinkist allows me to do that and more.

Key messages should be standalone messages and Book summary should be lengthier

Aziz Yar

The summary of books should be a little bit lengthier in order to get more insights from the Blinks. Moreover, some of the key messages are not a standalone messages in terms giving a sense; even if one remembers those key messages, they won’t be able to recall the meaning of the messages unless they read the blink again. The key messages here is that the key messages in your blinks should be standalone messages

Best getaway from social media

Good app, bad business practice

Eyalkr1

After a year my subscription renewed automatically. I got email after it was renewed (where I could not cancel automatically), instead of a week before so I can consider if I want to continue. I know there is option to cancel auto-renewal, but the default is auto renewal. I submitted request to blinkist, and they offered refund. This is nice (and hence I give 3 stars and not 1). But it is still a bad customer service practice to renew without a reminder before.

Practical and fun

I like to use Blinkist early in the morning to read “a book” (summary) and get started with my day. It’s a wonderful way to expand your knowledge and ideas. Most of all, it’s super practical. You get the core message in executive summary! Wonderful!!

Book, Podcasts & other Summary Content

Love the updated version

I really enjoy using Blinkist. Helps remember things I’ve read and listened to. Also helps to explore books and podcasts I’m curious about.

No fact-checking

Wronged person

This app summarizes an author's main points without fact-checking any of their claims. In today's infuriating free summary of book 'Live like it's 9/12,' the app reports the author's thesis that 9/11 united Americans across religion, race, and other identities without criticism, despite the fact that this claim is blatantly false - hate crimes against Muslims, Sikhs, and racial minorities, skyrocketed after 9/11. I wouldn't mind if the app included the author's argument with a disclaimer that it was not accurate, but sharing his ideas without correction is equivalent to spreading misinformation. As for the free features in general, the app only offers one free summary a day (which you don't get to pick) - it would be more appealing to me if you could pick what summary you want to read for free (even if it was only one summary a week.)
