More Marketing than Substance

Remember Cliffs Notes? You read the Cliffs Notes hoping to get a B without reading the book. This is not that. I listened to a number of books I own. With this app you would probably get a F maybe a D at best. Feels more like a marketing attempt to get people to buy the books than actually educate you.

Perfect for those that are dyslexic
The Insipid
I have been teaching myself for as long as I can remember. The issue is that I often learn what I want not what I need. Blinkist pushes me to read/listen to things I wouldn’t, on top of the things I love. This is the single, most powerful app on my phone.

Predatory free trial

The app sets the automatic subscription to annual and charges you the full balance on the first date. This is an incredibly predatory practice.

But don’t expect one answer or opinion about popular subjects. Many multifaceted opinions are presented. Very nice format.
Not impressed and their billing is ridiculous

I’m a huge fan of audiobooks, but these extremely short pieces do not have enough content to be worth it. To top it off, their billing will get you. Cost me $100 which I new I was on a free trial but understood that I’d have to choose a paid plan once over, not automatically be billed like most apps do. Tricky process to steal $$, shady and do not recommend. What a crappy business strategy. Went from “it’s ok but not for me” to angry from bad billing practices.
