App forgets Box 2 and expects us to reconfigure

The app forgot the Box 2 I had. Refused to recognize it. The only way to make it recognize is to reset the Box because the app can’t work properly.

Bitdefender is so buggy it’s trash. I would never buy trash from them again. You are better off buying someone else software all you will get from Bitdefender is buggy trash.

Restricts the Parents not the kids

I decided to go all out on this. It seemed like the perfect combination of device security and parental controls. Apart from some random behaviour from time to time (like parts of the AV suite randomly disabling itself for no reason) the computer side of things was fine. Next to setup the child profiles. THe child profiles is where it all falls down. URLs are blocked by broad categories, not by discrete URLs (despite what the app claims). I have website tracking turned on for my youngest kids, yet I can only tell that “your child attempted to access a site in the hosting category” or “your child attempted to access a site in the news category”. Tracking down false positives becomes almost impossible. Click on manage categories from the block screen and the app doesn’t go anywhere. Find a website blocked that shouldn’t be, simply add it to the URL whitelist; but there must be some special syntax (no instructions) because I’ve added the same url to the whitelist five different ways and it’s still blocked by bitdefender. I’ve given this app 2 stars because the screen time part of the app actually works, and shuts off when it’s meant to, and correctly monitors the amount of time used. Otherwise, every other part of the app is obtuse in how it works, false positives are impossible to track and to whitelist. It’s impossible to know what sites are being blocked or even if there are false negatives (In really want to know if there are bad sites being accessed that bitdefender hasn’t “categorised” yet. If this app doesn’t improve before renewal, I definitely won’t be renewing my subscription. It scores great on form, but low on function.

This app is great as you have the control in your palm. On the go, we can manage the devices and keep them secure. But the problem with the app is it super slow. You tap on one thing and it take 1-3 seconds to respond. This makes it harder to use the app. If the Bitdefender's dev team is reading this, please you should think about looking into this issue.

Bitdefender Box 2 maybe good for a small apartment but was a waste of money for me in a 2,200 square-foot House. I believe Bitdefender should stick to making software; that something they seem to do much better.

I loved my bitdefender box, but I removed it because it does not allow me to disable DHCP to work with my setup. Hopefully that will be updated soon

I can’t change settings, I get an error saying I’m not connected to the WiFi network, but I AM. I can’t upgrade firmware either. I’ve tried from 3 iOS devices, same error.

I’ve never had such a great customer service with any product than I have had with a Bitdefender. Bitdefender associates actually take the time to write out a detailed email explaining how to Set up the security system so it will function for all devices. I have three devices a Windows laptop, iPhone and an android. Bitdefender has security system for the Internet, mobile security, Windows, VPN, and Bitdefender even checks your identity emails etc.. Way too much to explain here I find this the best security system I’ve ever had fir my devices. Thanks Bitdefender?

I received a virus so I downloaded bitdefender once I did the wallpaper and screens was loading and changing. Once bitdefender was fully downloaded it took 7 times to stop crashing once it stop it said a red error and told me to hit ok. When I hit ok it said required me to delete Mac caffe antivirus for bitdefender to work. Soon as I did that it did nothing but have the same error when I checked my files I saw “Bitdefender.exe” I can’t believe a antivirus has a exe file now clearly because you guys are bad. All you did was make the virus worst and than I got a Trojan you people are pathetic and don’t give me that same reply,”Please email” Really, a exe file. I should sue your company for importing a exe file on my pc. Thanks to you i have a Trojan!
