When a reservation is not a reservation

wieyehebauqjsveueh

I use this app for the first time to visit NYC as a tourist—I lived there for 12 years. Booked a week in advance, paid for the spot, show up at the garage at the correct time and the attendant says they are full. I explain I already paid, have a reservation and he said not his problem, I used a third party app. Ended up getting a ticked for $115 parking on the st (not their fault mine but the sequence of events started). I valeted at the hotel, paid—should have just planned on that from the start. Got my money back after several emails and time. Use the app find garages but just negotiate with the parking attendant do t pay on the app.

Consistently save 50-60% every time!!

I barely ever write reviews but this app is so awesome I had to. Imagine parking in NYC costing $75 for all day, and the app saving you 35-40 off that!! Plus you can make a reservation, prepay, and you just walk in and out. AWESOME APP! Don’t leave home without it!

Take your chances

Buying a parking pass will not reserve a spot. My “reservation” had been refused when I arrived at the garage. I had no parking and my money was not refunded. Update: my money has since been refunded but it took days of communication and canned email responses. The deal is you can get a discounted spot just don’t assume it’s reserved and you will get your money refunded.

Destroyed my birthday in San Francisco

lietus

0 trust to this app . Reserved and pay for a parking in advance (2days before) of my birthday event in San Francisco. Upon arrival to the parking spot an employee told me to go away , no parking spots and he don’t care about all my online reservations etc . Absolutely horrible experience and 0 supports or any compensation from best parking team

Waste of time and money

I have used this app twice to bad results in NYC. Once I went to a garage and the price would have been far less had I just paid normally. This moray recent time I paid for a spot days in advance, and when I arrived, the guy rudely said there’s no more room so I am on my own to cancel the reservation and fend for myself. The whole point of using the app is so that you don’t have frustration and DONT have to pay TRIPLE in order to park in time for a reservation. Disgusting.

Outstanding App

I have used this app for a number of years and it has saved me so much money. Anytime there’s been any kind of issue, and usually it’s been my fault the customer support here has been fantastic, quick and resolved it.

Terrible customer support

If you ever have an issue when trying to use a parking pass, watch out! There is no phone number to call and the customer support team will only deal with you via email. And ultimately, they won’t bother to help. I found this out after being unable to use my pass at a garage, forcing me to pay again at the garage. Seven emails later, I was finally forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Thankfully, the cc company gave me a credit with no problem. I will not use BestParking nor it’s sister company PatkWhiz ever again. Stick to SpotHero. They actually have a phone number.

Garage was not honest with Best Parking

EBBSR

We paid our fee to Best Parking for parking in NYC. When we arrived at the garage they waved us away saying that they were full. fortunately BestParking appears to have refunded our money. We’ve had success with Best Parking in the past but if the garages don’t communicate their occupancy better, this could be a continued problem. Kudos to Best Parking but very unimpressed with garage communication from the garage on east 74th.

Street Parking Rules WRONG in NYC

John C in NYC

Noticed that the street parking feature is totally incorrect on the iOS app - it marks commercial parking as available street parking. How does that make sense? How many users of this app actually have a commercial license? The android version of this app doesn’t count commercial parking as available street parking. Totally useless.
