I write a lot and tried many different apps for writing and note taking, but no other app matches the quality and the feelings Bear gives. Keep up the good work!

Great at what it does, BUT limiting for Non-MAC users

Great at what it does, BUT for me, it’s missing a key feature I need. If you are only looking for a writing/note app to use solely with your iPhone or iPad, you’ll want to give this a try. This is a solid writing app for iPhone or iPad. It works well, you won’t be limited on features, and allows good organization of notes. HOWEVER, as a Windows user, I haven’t figured a way to access or to continue editing writing started on your iPhone once in front of my computer. I don’t want to use my iPhone to type when I have access to my computer. This app has so much potential, but as a windows user is missing the mark. It may be a different experience for Mac users, but the opportunity is to improve support for Window users by creating a way to access content or create content from a web browser. If I need to take notes, make a list, modify existing notes/lists, etc. and have access to my computer, the computer trumps my iPhone. If I allowed access and editing ability from a windows internet browser, this would be my go to app. Since it doesn’t, it may end up getting deleted from my iPhone.

Generally great but lately buggy

I love Bear. My most common use is to copy text into that I have OCR’ed with another app into Bear in my iPhone. Since at least the release of iOS 13, Bear had a tendency, almost every time I paste something, to jump back to the top of the page. I tried to contact the company about this a few weeks ago but have not had a response. The app could also use a more sophisticated search function. It would be great if there was a way to do Boolean searches. Maybe I’ve just missed them,

No Longer Using (Copy and Paste)

I am no longer using this app because they have changed the “copy and paste” feature. I don’t know why they changed it but it makes the app unusable for me. I deal with copying and pasting items I cannot afford to lose and this is no longer a viable option. I loved this app. I LOVED IT. I even upgraded to a yearly premium account. I used it on a daily basis but now I’m switching to something else. If they fix it...I might be back.

Bear is not ready product.

Can’t get enough

I have been using Bear for awhile now, and really it works exactly how I want a note taking app to. Been a premium member the whole time, so not sure the differences in free and premium, but for how cheap premium it is, just take the plunge. The minimalist design, the syncing, the themes, tagging, todo lists, just everything is wonderful.

There are some good apps for writers out there but this one is the best one of all I have tried so far. Great piece of work.

Best Note App

Been a Bear subscriber for a few months now and it fits my needs perfectly. I imported from a Byword library of notes I took and the process was great. I’m highly impressed with the quality of this app, and the design choices they made to make the experience just excellent. Using hashtags in notes is genius as it makes the content of the note the source of truth for how to organize it.

Lots of conflicts

I’m seeing more and more conflicts recently. The sync does not go to the other device in time and I ended up with multiple copies of my notes with different contents. It is happening annoying often lately. I hope the sync issue could be fixed, or at least provide some diff tool to help merge the conflicted versions.

Not As Reliable As Promised

I have been looking for a voice recording app that transcribes, I thought this was it... Until I tried using it from my Series 4 watch... The color customization is quaint but it can't perform as stated in the description. The recordings I made thru the app had low sound quality and the transcription lacks logic... But it was working off the same low quality recordings. I paid for the pro subscription and I want my money back. The app Just Press Record records sound with more precision and clarity. I caught a doctor in a recording refusing me care.
