Why use any other app for writing?

I love this app. They provide great support and have fantastic graphics and options. It is worth the subscription!

It’s what I thought it was

I was a bear fan for a while. Left for 6 months to see if I’d miss it or if any competitors had bypassed it. And nope. It’s the best note taking app.

I love using Bear as my brain dump tool! The moment I need to remember something, need to make a list, have an idea or need to vent my frustration in a constructive way I am tapping Bear. I have it on my Dock(with the incredible Gandolf theme) on iPhone, iPad and Mac... not to even mention my watch face! Shortcuts being available is really useful if you are more of a power user. I highly recommend Bear, keep up the great work guys. Thanks for the awesome tool!

Only Apple ecosystem

I want to be sure start I will be able to use the same tools across all my devices. And Bear not in this set, unfortunately.

Thank you!

Dear Bear, As a Bear Pro subscriber, I want to thank you for telling me I’m awesome. Your friendly bear drawing makes me smile, and you app is super useful. My two favorite features are the hashtag tags (#bear #super #useful) and the cross-device syncing. I use Bear on both my iOS and macOS devices. Plus, it’s just nice being called awesome. I know somewhere in Silicone Valley, Brooklyn, Austin, San Francisco, or whatever dreamy place Bear is developed, there is some coder, maybe just one, with vested interest who appreciates me for being a consumer of their product. Thank you for building such a solid app.

The best note taking app

If you just want to jot down quick bits of info and save them into an archive you largely forget about, Apple Notes works just fine. If you want to journal and keep a diary of your life, maybe give Day One a try. But if you want to take notes, write in robust Markdown syntax, save outlines and concepts, refer back to past insights, cross-reference relevant topics, organize everything by incredibly flexible tags, and import and export documents with ease: then Bear is hands-down the best tool for the job. I've tried a ton of different editors over the years and used a variety of different storage systems. Only Bear has proved to be the most flexible, visually appealing, and performant for everything I need out of a Markdown-based document workflow (on both iOS and Mac). I'm slowly weaning myself of all other note/writing apps and making Bear the center of my content world. I highly recommend you investigate doing the same!

Absolutely beautiful. Really like nested/tag approach

This app is so stunning and functional for me I am working hard to figure out as a PC + iPhone guy how to use this app in my workflow. Thank you team for such a wonderful product!!

Update made the app not work at all

Pantheon MMA

I bought the monthly subscription. Then updated my iPad which is the new 12 inch screen. I wanted to sync what I wrote on my iPad with my iPhone. Now since the update on my iPad Bear won’t even let me open the app. As soon as I do it crashes. This is why I am cautious about buying apps. I even sent two messages to Bears customer service and it seems like a bear to get a response. My phone and iPad are newer so I don’t get it. EDIT: I did the trouble shooting on my own. Never got a response from Bear. But I was able to find out what I needed to do. Thanks me!

love it
