If you don't pay, you will never win. If you don't pay, you play only against Japanese or the robots. If you are winning against Japanese or robots, the game "disconnects" you and you lose. If you accept doubles from Japanese or robots, they get multiple double rolls and perfect rolls to hit you and you lose. Most Japanese players have millions of chips....what does that tell you? Developed by Japanese, this game is total crap. Update: I found a setting that prevents the robots from being your opponent. Thought maybe I could finally win a game. Nope. It all comes down to money. If you don't pay the Japs, you have no chance of winning.

Current Version: This app has changed a bit. Seems to be more about making money then anything else. I still think it's a great app but paying for chips or the different memberships isn't worth it. Biggest issue are the times you get disconnected from a game for no reason or when the dice keeps rolling forever and never stops which leaves you no choice but to exit the app. These problems that have existed since the earlier versions and still exist to this day. Regardless, I still play six times a day, sometimes up to 24 games a day being that I have more then one account. :-) Fix the bugs and it'll much better! Previous Version: It's truly a great app. The app tells you how good your moves are: excellent, good or blunder not to mention moves in between. Now nobody plays a perfect game but it's always nice when you get a low error rate. Review games to see where you made mistakes ( if any ) and how you could've played differently. Every day you get free chips to play with so no need to purchase chips.
People think the game is rigged...

People think the game is rigged but what they don't realize is that they play horribly. Backgammon is a game of skill with elements of luck, if you feel like you are constantly getting unlucky you should check your error rate because you probably play really really poorly. You don't have to worry though because you can improve your play with study if you are willing to stop blaming randomly generated dice for your poor play claiming the game is rigged.

As a long-time user of this app, I wrote a review last year concerning its instability after a major update. I'm sorry to report that this situation has not changed. Random disconnects will end up costing you a lot of games, and since they turned this app into a pyramid scheme last year, that means this will end up costing you money with any complaints to the developers falling on deaf ears. If you're a serious backgammon player, your money and time is much better spent on XG Mobile, a much more serious learning tool. Both Mochy and the USBGF should be embarrassed to have their names and reputations connected with this app. They must both be getting some monetary consideration for their endorsements but I will no longer be helping to fund those (I've finally given up and have deleted the app) and I would suggest that you don't, either.

It was fun to play against real people - unlimited games. Since they started to offer costly "memberships" and only 6 games /24hrs the amount of users dropped - it takes forever to be matched with another user (unless you want to enable "AI" which is a non-sense robot player). Too bad.

Would be one of my favorites if they would fix the bugs! Occasionally when I make my play in 2-3 seconds it will time me out and I lose a ton of points. Other issues as well.
