Its very basic app

Normal functionality like fast forward / rewind is not present. Shuffle doesnt work by album and making now playing list of your song forget it.... Creating playlist is an advanced feature for this app

Stopped working with latest IOS upgrade on IPad

With the latest IOS upgrade on IPad Pro (Model ML0G2LL/A) My ipad is no longer able to communicate with RX-V673 using this application. Works fine from iPhone.

Terrible app. Really wish Yamaha had better customer service. The app doesn’t connect to any of our devices. Dumb.

It’s great to be able to control my stereo remotely, but the organization of controls on this all doesn’t make a lot of sense, particularly with regard to adjusting volume, which you might have to do fairly often. There’s a lot of switching of screens necessary even though there’s plenty of space on a single iPhone screen (and certainly an iPad) to display (and control) volume for each individual zone and even a master control too. There’s no need to have a special “knob” interaction when we are all familiar with the classic iOS slider for volume that both displays and allows you to interact; all the knob does is force more clicks into the user flow. Really, if there were a simple page that had all volumes controllable simultaneously without paging around the app, I’d have rated this app much higher. Hopefully we’ll see that in a future version!

Apparently one of the bug fixes and “functionality improvements” of v5.40 is selecting Zone B control just aborts the app altogether. Two iPhones running this version same results. Wife’s iPhone running v4.6 works like it should. Come on; get it together!

Losses and cannot find receiver.

New update = trash

I’ve used this app for almost 4 years without any major issues. The new update they did in mid 2019 has now made the app unusable. Won’t connect to my receiver. I’ve even tried connecting it manually. Shocking that an update would cause this to become garbage. You would think in a competitive electronic and digital world Yamaha would listen to its customers and fix the issue ASAP. They’re blowing it!
