Why require a Wi-Fi connection if connected through VPN?

I connect to my network through my VPN, but can’t control my 3080 because it says I’m not connected to Wi-Fi. If you fix that I’d give it 5 stars.

Very delayed!! As of the last 5 months. Used to be a bragging feature I use to like to show off but because of the delays I don’t not even bring it up in conversation when I have company over. Please fix delay.

This App provides outstanding ease of control of all zones of my three zone receiver. Allows for use of defined macros, setting party mode, Playing Pandora with feedback capability, independent zone volume control. Definitely the best of all I tested. Just wish they would enable Apple Watch functionality with it soon!!

Why release something so buggy?

This app is basically trash. For such a high end company with fantastic products to release something of such low quality is a shock to me. Many times, the app won’t recognize my receiver, rendering the app completely useless. When it does acknowledge my receiver, which i utilize for the apple play, it will randomly lose the connection, and again, become useless to me for my needs. This happens with such frequency that I’ve grown to disregard it as an option for playing music from my phone. What a huge disappointment.

I like this app and use it frequently. The ability to rename and assign various icons to things is very nice. It does what I need most of the time, but there are features that you can only use with the regular remote and the display. One simple feature that I would love to see is the option to remember the last zone used, instead of always defaulting to zone 1 when you open it. For example, my parents always use the remote for zone 1 and the iPad for zone 2. But every time they start the app on the iPad, they have to remember to switch it to zone 2 before doing anything. This can result in confusion when they forget. This should be an easy setting to implement.

App updates no longer works with my (1 year old) receiver

Zone option gone!!

Took the 5.4 update and the optional the bottom to change zones went away. Huge disappointment not to be able to choose which zones my music is playing in!! Please dis ASAP!!

Latest version crashes when selecting Zone B

Happens on my iPhone and my fiancées iPhone. Main zone controls work fine but as soon as you select Zone B, the app crashes completely. Rest of the app works well though. Sure would be nice if the Pandora station list was sorted and not in random order though.

App Stopped Working

App worked ok for a week, now it just displays fake “Demo” devices, and I have to delete it and reinstall almost weekly. Apps can be developed and maintained by small companies, the fact that this is the best Yamaha can offer is pathetic.

V5.4 doesn’t connect to WiFi-app is now less than useless. Before update, at least it worked.

App fails to connect on WiFi. It’s now less than useless. Very disappointed in Yamaha and my RX-A840 “UNABLE TO CONNECT TO DEVICE. ERROR ID:0” Manual IP is checked green, RX-A840 shows wireless connection is successful with same IP address, Verizon Router shows RX-A840 is online. What could be wrong?????
