I really love how intuitive the update makes the app. I am new to birding and really appreciate the many different options to identify birds as well as just the overall re-design of the app. It seems much cleaner, colorful and consistent. I always had crashing issues with the previous version and had a really hard time understanding the different functions. I can’t wait to see how it improves over time!! it’s really got me hooked on search for bird babies ✨??

The information I can pull up is fantastic! BUT, searching often leads to the program totally shutting down!! ☹️

I want my old, paid for, version back!! This new app is as good as you get for free, which is a limited poor quality. You just stole all of our offline content we PAID for while dumbing down the app. You should be ashamed of yourselves for this theft.

While I have since learned how to navigate this new version, it took my awhile to figure it out. I’m not a fan of the new sighting system that only shows what’s been seen very close to me. I preferred having a larger range so I could see what’s been sighted in a larger area, such as Galveston or Houston. Due to the update, I have to search up specific locations within those areas instead of one big picture which makes it somewhat more complicated than the original app, especially if you’re not familiar with the area you’re searching for. In addition, the app is crashing terribly any time I try to scroll through sightings. Also, it logs me out every time I exit the app which is annoying to have to type my email and password in every single time. I can never finish checking out sightings because of the crashes. As of right now, the app is useless, which is disappointing since I paid a good bit of money on it.

I tried to look-up a bird I didn’t recognize, but the app keeps crashing. What a frustration.

This “updated” version seems to only work if you have a data plan for your device. Since the screen on the phone is too small for me to see, I used all the Audubon apps on my iPad mini. Since it doesn’t have a data plan, this app is now totally useless. I am also extremely disappointed in Audubon about the way they handled the obsolescence of all the other apps, which I paid for and now won’t run on any up-to-date iPad or iPhone.

Years ago I purchased this app because it was easy to use use and filled with useful information. The latest update is terrible. They eliminated the bird calls and songs by region, the information for each bird is impossible to find and the layout is likewise poor. Very disappointing. Look elsewhere for your birding app.

I love this app but and I like the new update but it continuously crashes on my iPhone 6. It’s pretty much unusable for me now so please fix soon!

I am disappointed with this new version. It crashes randomly whenever I play the bird songs, especially the shortcut audio from the search results. It would also be helpful to have the last state saved in the search bar to be saved so you don’t have to re-enter it every time.

This app is terrible. I paid $20-30 for it years ago and loved it. Now that it's free it won't play bird sounds on my device. Why did you ruin a great app?
