Bad Update

Crequet

This is horrible now. Enjoyed the old version. It would be nice to have the old version back. This one is not working at all.

Disappointed!

I am a beginner when it comes to birding. The old version was much easier for me to use. You could view birds in your area by months and see pictures of birds to choose from. If you can do this with this app I cannot figure out how.

Another app made worse

XLake218

This is yet another textbook example of what once was a truly great app for bird reference that has now been driven into the ground. They got my money, turned the app into a complete joke, and are laughing at all of us fools. Stay away from this garbage, there are better apps than this.

Don't Update, it is ruined

I used to lovethe Audobon app the best of all my birding apps. No longer! Whoever thought this was an improvement? It is not designed to work on an iPad any longer, just the iPhone. So it crashes after two minutes, every single time. I cannot use it at all. I used to be able to use the local sightings to help with identification, now, ( in my limited two minutes), the complicated process might let me know someone saw a robin. But there certainly is no list. Audobon, your good name is being tarnished by this app. Folks, go elsewhere!

I would like the old version back

Brookegilbert

The pictures and bird info are great. In the previous version you could look and see where others are finding birds. Now I can just look at my immediate area and “hot spots” which is showing birds found 2-3 months ago. Please bring back the old version.

Used to work but not anymore

BeDeadly

This app no longer works on my iPhone 8 11.4.01. None of the photos are viewable there is just a black screen where the photos should be. Secondly the lag time when typing in the search is frustratingly long. I can type out most of the species name before even the first letter appears in the search box. I have deleted the app and reinstalled the app a number of times. It has a lot of great info but it needs to be updated.

Useless

Witches prison is a nightmare

Crashes every time I try to use it!!

Unable to log in

I can’t log in. Says I have an account but when I choose reset password it says I don’t have an account. Can’t find a place to ask for help. Would like to use the app.

Promising, but buggy

bethel95

I’m really enjoying the feature set in the latest version of this app, but I keep encountering really annoying bugs. For example, I’ve somehow got duplicates of the same sighting on my sightings list for one bird, but am unable to delete the duplicate entry--I keep getting a message that I need to connect the Internet, even though my phone is on LTE. Another example: It’s nice to have a recent sightings list, but it’s not helpful when you can’t scroll it! There’s also a “connect to the internet” message overlaying and obfuscating the list entries that I can see. Finally, what’s the point of having a recent sightings list if you can’t tap an entry and bring up a map showing siding location? Hopefully, all these issues will be fixed in the next version, but in the meantime it makes for an awfully frustrating user experience.

What was the point in changing it?

You have improved the app in minor ways, but in no ways that people want. Like previous people have mentioned, it is now impossible to see all the locations birds have been seen at near you, and you can only look at locations that are hotspots. Another thing that I am saddened to see gone is the rarity section. Always found it nice to skip right to the good stuff and the the rare birds that were seen in your area. Also, nature share is horrible now, and I think everyone can agree with that. Why was all this removed? P.S -App still crashes!
