I really wanted this app to work for me. I don't know if it is related to offline (airplane mode) entry while in the field or some other problem, but the app started failing on launch after one day of use. Even deleted the app and reinstalled -- after logging in the app again crashes on launch. Latest iOS version on iPhone 7+.

I updated April 2018 and prefer the previous version. In my sightings, I am no longer able to immediately link to the field guide in order to use audio calls. A true value to me is being able to call birds in close. Now I have to go to the field guide and type the bird name in each time I want to get to audio.
Bring back the old version!

I paid for the previous version. I don’t want to sign in to use your app; I just want to use it to ID birds. You have not improved it!

Lovely, helpful pictures. Using the right navigation bar to search on smaller iPhone is a challenge. Useful bird songs. Limited , but good experience with "Find Birds with eBird". Have not used "My Sightings".

This is an excellent app. Worth every penny. Full of encyclopedic content, and really handy for bird I D. Saves carrying ID books, especially if you are traveling through a few states.

I love this app. I especially like that I can see what birds have been spotted in my area, rather than just going by general seasonal ranges. I also love being able to keep track of what birds I’ve seen. I would give the app 5 stars, except that there seems to be a recurring bug that frequently prevents me from hearing the audio files of the calls and songs. But, even without that capability, this is still a great app!

This app seems very comprehensive, and I’ve found it quite easy to use for a new birding enthusiast.
