Another VPN Scam

This is yet another VPN that charges a ridiculous amount of money but does not provide a stable service. Do not purchase.
Significantly worse than the desktop version

I should preface this by saying that despite its problems Astrill remains the best VPN option in China by a wide margin. In my experience, the desktop version is incredibly stable and faster than any of its competitors. The mobile version, while still better than its competitors (unlike Express and Nord it's never outright failed to connect), leaves much to be desired. For one, it's much less stable, especially recently. At times the VPN will disconnect and reconnect every five minutes, and even when it disconnects the app will continue to say nothing is wrong. I've also frequently encountered an issue where it's impossible to turn the VPN off (the smart tunnelling does not work very well). If you try to disconnect, it'll just attempt to reconnect automatically (even with the auto-reconnect function turned off). A lot of the frustration could be mitigated, I feel, with a speed test function. In my experience the speed and stability of Astrill's servers vary wildly, ranging from extremely fast to barely functional (and which servers work is not consistent). I've had to use the desktop version to test the servers before I go out, and I'm not even sure that the two versions use the same servers (plus the desktop speed test hasn't been working recently). It seems like it's been months since they've updated the app (which for security reasons is a whole other issue), but I'm really hoping they can get the mobile version closer in quality to the desktop version (and worthy of the much steeper price tag).
Lots of 404 errors recently

I’m in China, and this VPN had been working as well as one can hope out here. But for the past month or so, I have been unable to access sites I used to have no problem accessing (mostly print media outlets). Getting 404 errors left and right. Isn’t one of the main reasons we use this app in China to be able to access Western media?

The vpn it was so good when I started using it but now it totally different and the connection is bad

a lot of productivity goes out of the window as you need to constantly change and hunt for those few servers that might work. Speed test only available on PC and recently only able to produce a few out of the useless long list of servers. In any case, what works can change in an instant so the speed test results are not valid for long. US for China not available on Ipad client for some reason. Really frustrating but there is few other choices.

No support to get my VPN up and running in China. What a waste of money.
Unable to turn off

Sometimes when i turn it off, the vpn will reconnect itself, no matter how many times I try. I’ve tried turn it in to fly mode, turn it off from setting, it won’t work, when it happens, the only way is to turn the cellphone off and turn it back on. Plz fix it thx. It’s really inconvenient.
Terrible experience and usability and can't test bandwidth and ping

I bought a year premium member cost 800 rmb but gave me some sh*t？you have alipay payment and chinese web language mean you want some chinese costomer，you need to know there is three telecom operator in china.If you want to make money from chinese，show me repect and arrange a chinese costumer service.Btw，your smart mode on ios are so terrible.learn some chinese apps first！ if you dont have that capacity，change your refund policy。
