Difficult

Initial setup was sort of ok. I had to remove install and reinstall but the page would not respond. Everything I selected was white and processed now it is all green and I cannot redo the list over again. The explanations to use app is inadequate with details. I want to know if I did it right because 125 was not completed.

Useless!!!

Kept prompting me to switch off limit ad tracking in settings -- did that, closed and then opened app 3 times but still got the message. Does nothing at all

What?

There's no instructions, half the time the toggle switches work, half the time they don't. It's literally useless. Too bad.

When you buy ad space that forces the App Store open.. you get one star.

Worst app ever

Totally useless!

Does Nothing.

If I had to guess, this app probably collects and sells user info, in keeping with advertisers principles. It did nothing to help opt-out of all the b.s. advertising that drops into all my feeds.

Ad Industry "Feel-Good" Propaganda

Don't waste your time with this app...it's basically the ad industry's way of pretending to the world that they care about consumer privacy and consumer control of online targeted ads. This is basically just a PR stunt by the ad industry, and it's completely voluntary for advertisers to join and adhere to the restrictions...any advertiser who doesn't want to abide by the restrictions simply doesn't have to join! But since you have iOS, you can already block (some) targeted ads without resorting this completely useless app...just go into Settings >> Privacy >> Advertising >> "Limit Ad Tracking" (and toggle that function on). It's not a perfect (or even very robust) feature of iOS, but it's worth doing. But here's the scary part...if you try installing and using this "AppChoices" app (with the goal of limiting advertisers tracking and targeting you with ads), the app actually requires that you TURN OFF your "Limit Ad Tracking" function in your iOS settings....or else the app won't work! Those sneaky advertisers... because participation in this AppChoices program is completely voluntary (and its membership doesn't include even a small fraction of all online advertising agencies and companies), by requiring you to turn off the built-in iOS "Ad Limiter" function, you actually open the gates to ALL ad tracking! (with the exception being the limited number of advertisers voluntarily participating in the AppChoices program)! All the other non-participating advertisers can now target you without any limits (and no protection through iOS) Bottom line -- your better off not using this app.
