Love this app ... BUT it’s been buggy lately

I love this app and prefer it so much over the native Mail app on my iPhone and MacBook. I especially love the snooze feature which let’s me put off emails that are not urgent. It’s a great system for ensuring that important but non-urgent emails don’t get buried in my inbox. However, lately the app on my phone has been buggy. The app crashes and won’t let me switch between signatures (iOS version only). Yesterday I was writing an email, took a break and locked my phone mid-composition, and when I unlocked my phone the entire body of my email was gone! This shouldn’t be happening for a mail client that I paid so much money for. If these issues were to get fixed, this is easily a 5-star mail app!

I have used Airmail for a couple of years now on my macOS and iOS devices and have found it to be exceptional in how it allows me to customize the experience of email management precisely to my preferences. Just recently I experienced an issue of sporadic messages not showing up on my iPhone. I sent an email to Airmail tech support late at night requesting help on this matter. I was pleasantly surprised to get an immediate response from Sarah. After a few quick back-and-forth messages my issue was resolved. So not only the software works great, but the customer support was quick and helpful. That’s a great combination!

Best email app for iOS by a LONG way

I’ve tried just about every email app available for iOS to manage my (predominately gmail) workflow and nothing comes close to the ease of use and reliability I’ve seen from Airmail. iCloud sync is a lifesaver for account and [more importantly] settings sync across my iPad and iPhone — excellent. The Customizations and actions within the app can be intimidating at first—due to how many they offer—but after a few minutes familiarizing myself with the app, it all fell into place. Support from the Bloop team has been nothing short of stellar— I had a few questions regarding account setup at first; and within a few minutes my questions were answered and my understanding of how the app and their services work was exactly where I wanted it to be.

I took a leap of faith and bought the app. I am beyond thrilled with it! Working with the latest version on the iPhone X has finally brought me to a state of enjoying reading email. I originally purchased the desktop app and setup iCloud, GSuite, and Gmail accounts on two computers. Syncing them on the iPhone was a breeze because I used the iCloud sync option. I adore the color coding options and customization available in the app. The swipe left to delete was default. ❤️ then a full swipe gives me ALL the action list to choose from. Smart!! I can easily pause and hold in the app, in notifications, or on my Apple Watch to delete an email or preview. No struggles here. The context menus and gestures just work and give me access to what I want to do without skipping a beat. Customization is found throughout the app more than I ever expected. This makes the app even better suited to my needs and use. Say goodbye to the default app and give Airmail the place it deserves in the dock. You’ll fall in love too.

Pretty good app, needs a calendar integration though. I've tried them all. I prefer this app over spark because of its customization and Mac OS and iPad support. Spark is faster, but lacks a lot of the tools that this app provides. *****Update****I want to love this app, but I just don't trust it. I tried snoozing an email and it just disappeared. That's bad for business. DELETED! *****Update**** I lost another email. Labeled an email “To-do” later removed label. When I went to search for the email in Archive, All Mail and Delete I couldn’t find it. Complete gone. I originally downgraded the app to one star, felt guilty and pushed it back to three. Now I am done. I can’t trust it. ****Update**** things seem to be working well. Pretty good full featured app. Support has been very responsive.

I’ve been using Airmail on the iPad and iPhone for a year or so, and for the most part it definitely does its job. It is one of the few mail apps for iOS that still can handle POP accounts, and because I have a couple of those, I gave it a try. I don’t use Airmail for business, so I’ve not explored all the options, but for home use it’s been great. The interface seems overly complex, perhaps because of the multiplicity of options, most of which I don’t use. App is reliable, fast, and certainly the equal of Mail or Outlook on the iPad. Airmail doesn’t always show attachments (even if setting is to download all attachments), and the attachments folder is awkward to use. Not sure what the point of having that folder is. Even if it is necessary, why not show all attachments with icons, if all being downloaded? A bigger question is why do none of the email programs on iOS allow font choice or colored text? Why can I not draw right on my messages? Does Apple limit what email can do in iOS? Airmail support is outstanding. I spent a little time on their FAQ page today and before long a live chat window popped up asking if I needed help. Sarah was terrific in quickly answering my questions, and very pleasant, too. Kudos!

The app undoubtedly looks amazing but is still buggy and unreliable. The most recent update (‘bug fixes?’) is a nightmare as I need to update all my accounts (more than 10) with entering the passwords again - including the ones with app specific passwords which is a huge hassle. If updates will keep requiring me to do so then it’s a deal breaker and I’ll stick to my free reliable and good looking Spark.

I ended up deleting this app after a day, both on iPhone and iPad. Just not working... iPhone inbox and iPad inbox wouldn’t even synch. Tap and hold to select multiple messages not working. Back to Apple Mail...

Best features out there but flawed

Much improved. Still a way to go with reliability. Fun to tinker with but not near reliable enough for full time use sadly.

Needed a replacement for Mail on my Mac. Got tired of wasting hours trying to customize/alphabetize to no avail. Airmail is the best by leaps and bounds, and is spectacular on my iPhone as well. Highly customizable, and does everything I need perfectly. Had one question on a setting and Mark from customer service answered it within 5 minutes of my email to them. Superb! Highly recommend for anyone looking to get a powerful, modern, secure replacement for antiquated, buggy Mail.
