Permission Nagging

Pixel8ed

Asks for access to my photo library every time I open the app. I contacted support, their advice was to allow the permission. Apps should only ask for permissions when I’m trying to perform a task that needs the permission, not EVERY time I open the app.

Great mail app

A feature rich replacement for the default iOS for those who need more powerful and professional features

Not for iPhone X

ARKellogg

This is been my email app of choice and both Mac and iOS platform, however, about a third of the screen is cut off on the iPhone X making it unreadable

It’s alright

Sometimes sluggish and lately crashing too often. The gestures such as swiping through signatures don’t work very well. Overall a decent app with many features.

Terrible support

I have reached out numerous times for my emails being converted to strange languages and symbols when received. No follow ups at all on the issue. I even enabled DEV settings and sent logs. Still no follow up. Do not buy this app until the ratings climb back above 4 stars. This app used to be legendary amongst email apps. There were none better. Sad how it’s gone down hill.

AirMail for Me!

BettR

After trying InBox, Mail for iOS, Spark, and various other and sundry mail apps for the Mac and iOS, I have finally given AirMail another try. And, boy am I glad I did! AirMail integrates with the apps I use most and has many features not found in the other apps I have tried. I have not experienced any crashes on any of my devices. I do see that syncing settings does not seem to be working, so would be nice if they could jump on that soon. Otherwise, I am very happy with this little app. It is free on the Mac and not expensive app on iOS. Excellent UI and remarkably fast at rendering my gMail account, which no other app can seem to manage.

Used to love...

Airmail is a trash fire. I used to love this app and asked all my friends to use it. I recently came back to iOS and while the MacOS version works great, the iPhone version is TERRIBLE. I’ve asked for support a few times and I’ve received rudimentary help. - The amount is mail visible in my box fluctuates. — sometimes I can see a notification for 900+ unreads, which means Airmail can see that I have a lot of mail. When I load the app that number changes to 80-100. - when I scroll down I can only see mail for the last 45 days. — this means searching for old mail is IMPOSSIBLE on the iPhone. Absolutely a deal breaker. I’ve turned off iCloud. Cleared out my message cache. Removed my account. No improvements. I really need Bloop to step up and help me. As someone who uses my mail for business I need access to everything. I want to use this app I paid for because I like having 1 solution. I had sugar. Great experience on my 6S a year ago, and such a bad experience on my X now.

11/30/17 Still my go to email client. While problems come up some time, support is immediate! Mark just helped me fix a simple thing I'd fine wrong just now. Devs are really trying to make this one a go. 12/1/2016: still my main email workhorse. Prompt service from Mark helped me with opening a iCloud account with dual authentication. No hitches. -------- Ongoing good experience with this work horse mail app. Heavy use and it performs. I'm not going to get into all its features. Powerful. Good live help with some questions from Sarah in their support department. Basically, a well-curated app. I've waited for this app since iPhone 3. Tremendously customizable, fast, looks good. I can't yet verify but I sense the developer(s) are totally dedicated to ruling this functional segment (email as an action hub of users' work existence) as they have made huge improvements to Airmail. Too many aspects to review in detail here. Basically you can fix up the app to work the way you like to work and it syncs beautifully across all devices (so far just iOS for me as I have installed on my Mac but just use on phone and iPad Pro). Sorry for simple enthusiasm but it's helped me. Just get it and try it.

Airmail is beautiful..

UPDATE: Airmail still going strong. Have compared it's features w other email apps and I cannot find anything to beat it. At one point I want getting any notifications from non-contacts correspondence, but, thanks to Sarah at support, I found that I had turned on Smart Notifications. Once it was turned off, all was fine. Yes, two other great email apps are free, but Airmail is still worth every penny for all you can do with it. ______________ it's gorgeous, amazing, tons of options, sharing PDFs of emails to different servers is done excellently, etc. But some email renderings just don't get through and am stuck with either no text, placement icons, or both. This only happened to me with 3 different mailings from separate companies. I'm hoping beyond hope that this will get fixed so that I can stop using other email apps as secondaries. Also, Airmail is a bit slow on retrieving/deleting emails, whereas apps like Edison Email retrieves/deletes an email or three instantly. If these two things can be corrected, Airmail would be so perfectly perfect!
