I had been using Affirm for a long time now, and until recently loved it. But after my latest purchase, I have had nothing but infuriating hassle when trying to verify identity. After so many purchases, idk why they have to verify my identity yet again… and idk why they could not verify me even with clear pictures of my ID and my face. I have made multiple attempts to use them again and get blocked by verification failures every time now. I’m done. Making my final payment on the current loan and never using them again. Get your act together if you want people to enjoy the app and continue using it. I’m out. Never again.

I chose this method because I know I have bad credit. This gives me the opportunity to have payments. I was able to use this service as intended.. until now. I don’t care at all about being able to pay monthly. I’m qualified to spend my limit and pay in 4 at certain stores, but not all of them. Amazing, for example, I can only do monthly. Best Buy? I can pay in 4. I contacted support and they said it’s just “what the system determines would be best for you.” Where is this what’s best for me? I don’t even want monthly payments. I like my pay in four with no interest. It works. It’s fine. I’ve never had a late payment. Never requested an extension. And so you take the ability to pay in 4 for certain stores… forrrrr??? For what? I can still spend my limit at a different store.. so it’s not to protect you financially? So what is the reason the “system chooses what’s best” and eliminates the only option I use this service for?
