I see no way to download this app step one step one on how to download this app.

STILL NO LANDSCAPE...
JohnH240

Just how incompetent are your programmers? Do you not read the reviews? What a worthless app. I thought that perhaps with the update it might finally happen since the description says for iPad and iPhone. Nope really just a lazy programmers version of an iPad app. In other words an iPhone app.....that runs on iPad in the portrait only mode.

What a waste (Zero Stars)

I downloaded your app. After all the trouble I had getting signed in, I now find it wasn’t worth the aggravation. I, too hate the portrait view. I looked at evens in my area and the events repeat over and over and over again. Why is that necessary? Now I’m deleting your app since I don’t see anything worth keeping it.

Is this 2020 or 2010?

‘Cuz this app — the NEW app, replacing two no-longer-supported apps (AARP & AARP Member Benefits), looks like it was designed for iOS 3. First of all, a non-Universal app that doesn’t even support landscape and must be viewed at 2X on an iPad is, IMO, pathetic. Who’s advising you on this stuff, some Windows programmer? And Universal is the minimum. No iPad version is just poor policy, especially for an app that wants to be as much as this one seems to. But here is what really bugs me: If you are working in the app, filling out a form or registering for something, and need to switch to another app for some reason (e.g., to look something up), when you switch back to AARP Now, it opens back to the home page, all entries one had made being lost in the process. That is completely unacceptable. This happened to me just the other day, as I tried to sign up for the driver safety course thru the app (my fundamental error, should have used a browser). I was almost all the way thru, then needed to check something in another app. When I switched back to AARP Now, I was backat the home page as described above. Meanwhile, my credit card was charged, but I cannot find any access to the course, and have not received a purchase confirmation. Because the app reset to home before the process was complete. Fix these please…???

Wishing for a landscape mode
Drdot73

I thought I’d try this app, but I think I will delete it. Something as simple as a landscape mode would encourage more readers. I can’t bother with trying to turn it around or trying to read anything sideways.

Charged$$$$

Why did my credit card get charged to download this free app?

Terrible app
Peafreen

I agree with others her who say this app is awful. And definitely no iPad friendly. Also, there’s no longer a way to download the magazine which I used to like reading on the iPad. AARP makes a ton of money off their members, the least they can do is develop a decent app.

PREVIEW
Jo's new pod

I haven’t used the new app much and mostly use an iPhone to access it. I just read about 50 reviews, and they are not good. I have to use it soon just to renew my membership which should be an easy task. We’ll see. I was sent a “Renew Your Membership” email from you that included the form to do so. I completed the page that only asked for First Name, Last Name, Zip Code. I completed it exactly as it appears on my card. My response was, we cannot locate you on a new page that said Enter Your Membership Number. The membership number box should have been on the first page too. It would have saved me time along with you. Okay, I entered my number in portrait mode and pressed Done. Nothing happened. No enter key came up, No blue arrow, no way to enter my membership number. I tried to view it in landscape mode, no go. I tried both pages a few times no success. I used your live chat. She was very nice, but as helpful as your renew page. All I got out of her was a question whether I was using a browser or the mobile app. Her final answer was for me to renew through the app. I asked her what to do if I had technical difficulties like I just did and she gave me the number to renew. I could have figured that out. Thought I might get a help desk type number. Anyway, sorry to be so long winded, but there is nothing worse than a program/app that doesn’t work properly. In the reviews you answered a lot of them, and the responses are mostly the same. That is, you read all the reviews, etc., and that is great and appreciated, but you should address when you’re going to fix the issues as there are a few. I’m sure the users would like to hear that. I know I would. Thanks for listening.

Steps backwards
Shgnastytwo

When there were two apps I could access I could get the newspaper and magazine on line - now all I can get is “news”. Also I can’t get anything on the app that comes in the regular emails which was available before. It’s like AARP went back in time technology instead of forward. Senior citizens actually do read on line. Stop killing so many trees!!!

The old download app was working well and easy to use. The new Now App is not. Members need CHOICE of old or new app. This was not well thought out. I have been a member for twenty plus years and wish to have a choice of apps.
