Crashes make it useless

tj from recess

I was very excited about this app- a good, clean concept and the design to match it. Unfortunately, most of the time I try to upload a document specifically by airdrop or google drive, the app crashes and fails to load it.

Great app, so far!

Just got it and downloaded some of my books onto it (mainly ePub) and have found it already way better than apple’s app. I switched over because I was having a hard time doing just that, moving ePub files from my laptop to my Apple Books. it still has much room for improvement and can’t wait to see it evolve!

Why can't link onedrive?

Is that can not link onedrive anymore?

Please update

I am using yomu in my Mac and iPhone already. They all work fine. But this iPad version always crashes after syncing to my iCloud. I’ve tried to remove it and install it again but every time it crashes. Please fix this.

More customization needed

I enjoy the app and it’s straightforward operation, but I just wish there would be more color highlighting, and page and font manipulation. I use Yomu for note taking and textbooks, so being able to use my typical colors helps me, and so would more customizable pages and text format. ReadEra was my main app to use for this, and it did the job perfectly, but now I have an iPhone and would like to have the same features.

This is the all-around best e-book reader app for Mac, iPad, and iPhone.

Yomu is simple but great. It feels like a real Apple app, and not like a cross platform app that doesn't fit into the Apple ecosystem. It supports all the major formats. It syncs your books and information on your iCloud. It doesn't require you to sign in, make an account, or share your data with third parties. Awesome. Thanks to the Yomu developer!

great app to escape the clutches of corporate readers

I had my books in Kindle for the longest time but was frustrated by the inabiltiy to export DRM-free books out of that ecosystem. Furthermore, the Kindle app had intrusive ads, suggesting that I buy more and more books Yomu is a beautiful independent reader that allows me to focus on reading, syncs well across iOS, and that allows one to maintain control of their own data. You can export annotations in multiple formats and most importantly the developer is very responsive to feedback

One of the best out there

This app deserve more ratings. Can’t believe it’s still underrated. all the features are very useful and works perfectly. I recommend this app to everyone, please download it and support the developer.

I left iBooks behind

...and this has been my go-to reading app. It doesn’t do some of the annoying things that the iBooks app does and it’s pretty straight forward. Out of the many reading apps I’ve downloaded over the years, this is one of my two favorites.

This is good.

See, Apple has now pressed the iBook store into my field of view, silently looking at all my reading habits. Yomu collects little information. I got an nearly instant response from the dev even before I downloaded! I like the simplicity and I decided to pay the small price and support this lightweight and effective app. I will update review if there are issues. And again after I stress test the annotation feature. But for now it's great. The sync with the companion iPad app is gravy.
