You used to be able to record shows from this app, which was very convenient. You could record shows that you forgot to record. Now I don’t even know why this app exists
Done with Xfinity
They’ve removed the ability to record from the app and from the Xfinity website. If you’re traveling and want to record a program, you’re out of luck.

Bring back the record option from the app it’s useless to have to turn on the tv and record if your away!

It was so good when I had the ability to record shows from my phone. Why is it gone now?

Used to be a handy app. Now it’s become essentially useless. 1) You can no longer set a show to record when you’re away from home. You can no longer use the remote to record a show PERIOD. You also cannot cancel a scheduled recording using the app. Why were these features removed? And to top it all off, even getting TV listings to populate on the app now takes 30+ seconds. And yes, we use Xfinity’s high speed internet. Boggles the mind.

This app used to be terrific - you could edit your scheduled recordings. Without this feature this app is nothing more than a glorified TV listing. Sure you can use it to change the channel, but if you’re watching TV you have your remote there anyways! One more thing that Comcast turned to crap....

Is Comcast/ Xfinity EVER going to re-implement the ability to set DVR recordings from the app remotely? This was THE best feature of this app. I waited years for this capability, only to have it taken away. How is it possible that corporation as big as Comcast can resolve this issue for its millions of customers? Or is it true, they just don't give a sh--!

What happened to this app? I used to be able to control my recordings when I wasn’t home, and now I can’t? What’s the point of this app, then? Absolutely terrible! It’s basically only good as a TV guide now.
