Make it your last choice

I have been with Xfinity for 3 years, not because I like their services, but because they are the only provider in my area. Loyalty counts against you. The longer you stay with them the higher your bill will go. Not to mention their rude customer support. When I know that their home security is not actually protecting my home I called to cancel it. They kept transferring me from one agent to another and I was on hold for 25 minutes. Make Xfinity your last choice. I am waiting for starlink so badly. By the way, I pay for 600 megabytes speed and the actual speed ranges between 180 and 320. You will never get the speed you signed up for. If you call and mention that they will transfer you to technical support and they will pretend they help you and they won’t solve the problem. They know they won’t solve it.

Family member in the system and not allowed to use report or add users and had without any authorization and Xfinity Comcast knowing there’s a criminal problem there’s abuse from this family member not allowed at the house been stealing Wi-Fi net work years and years with 1200 mph our TVs lock up all kinds of crap and he ported our landline to combine with his mobile number since it comes with advanced call forwarding features we have it all proven text was telling us that we’re up to eight users attached invading our privacy he has deep personal issues and they are evil and criminal this is strictly about the Internet it’s so easy for a computer somewhat knowledgeable guy to get into this account and he’s been reported more than once this is going now to FCC Xfinity Comcast is useless and we have all the proof and evidence justice shall be served though

Apparently Xfinity believes every support issue can be resolved with their very limited interactive tool. When rebooting TV boxes and Wi-Fi routers doesn’t work, get repeated “500 error” with no further explanation of what that error is, and the “Refresh System” option isn’t available in the tool, it would be nice to talk to a person. That used to be available, but now it is not possible to call or even have an interactive online chat with a live person. I pay more than $250/month to Xfinity and should be able to expect some real support.

Was having spotty issues for several weeks. (Pixelizations, dropping connection, unstable Internet, not able to get to some web activities ... ) but, CY came in and assessed, reassessed after getting my input, then solved the problem, explained what he did, even gave me a class project to do tomorrow discussing Coaxial Cable loss due to dielectric Conduction... Thank You Twice!

This app is poorly integrated with Xfinity’s services. Every time I try to use this app it just punts me to their website and I have to login again. And who’s the idiot who thought that My Account was a great name for an app? Like we don’t have accounts with any other company?! Just another example of the poor attention to detail that Xfinity is notorious for.


Trying to change plans

I have been trying for three days to change my plan. I get to the point to check out and it won’t let me. It just keeps kicking me back to plan review. I didn’t want to believe the horror stories about this company and the bad service you get when trying to cancel service or downsize plan. But this company is horrible for customer service.

It’s amazing to me that this multi billion dollar company can charge people as much as they do for internet that is constantly going out. We have to reset our connection several times a week, and sometimes it’s out for several hours. No excuses. We live in New Jersey. Not the middle of nowhere. If it was possible to cancel and go with another company we would. But of course, you guys have a monopoly on this area. So we’re all stuck.

This app used to be ok but in the past 6 months it has been horrible. If you try to fast forward through commercials on recordings from your dvr it freezes. The voices continue but the picture is frozen.
