After investing HOURS into this game, the Xcom base is attacked and I can’t use SHIVS, which I’ve based most of my later game playing strategy on. Why have them in the game if you can’t utilize them at the most critical moment??? So now I lose the game because I can’t utilize a strategy with is PART OF THE GAME. And then the iCloud backup doesn’t work. Truly F***ing frustrating.

So normally the game is great I love playing and would normally play it all day but I have an issue. So I load up the game I go to campaign select click on my campaign with like 72 hours of play and I try to load it and it exits me out of the game I try to restart the app still doesn’t work, I restart my phone still doesn’t work, so I load a different campaign that I’ve hardly played and it works, I don’t know what the problem is but it’s irritating not being able to play something I payed for, thank you for reading, please fix this.

Just bought and downloaded this for my IPad Pro 12’ and am very displeased. Got through the tutorial just fine. Got to the first mission afterward and none of my troops can get beyond targeting the enemy. Can’t shoot. I press “Accept” repeatedly, i hear the sound to acknowledge that I tapped the button but nothing happens. The game.is.broken.
No iPhone X+ update??

I played this on my 2015 iPad Air 2 and had very few issues. If I left it in the background for awhile it would need to reboot and I had a few crashes if other large apps were running in the background, but I think that’s because my iPad is old. It’s not the full PC experience but it is 100 times better than most games on iPad.
Terrible game if you hate losing. Always.

It started off so well. I’m a huge fan of the concept of this game (maybe). Building facilities, upgrading soldiers, turn-based tactical strategy... yes, please. Missing three shots in a row with 80% chance to hit, then having my top ranked soldier get killed in the first enemy attack in two hits on easy mode... no, thank you. There is way too much prep time involved in this game to lose so easily. Maybe I just don’t like this TYPE of game. I think I like the idea of perma-death and the strategy and immersion it provides, but that’s the problem with this game, you invest a LOT and play very cautiously to AVOID having your best soldier killed only to have bad luck (or bad design) cause you to lose so easily. Sure, you can save your game anytime, but that seems like a poor game mechanic and misses the point anyway.

Love the game but just got iPhone 11 and the game is glitching a lot now on the newer phones. Would like them to update to run smooth. Or they can always come out with the second one if they are no longer updating the first one

Controls are extremely buggy. Gets trapped in loops and have to reinstall.

Been playing for only a short time but this game is super buggy. I’ve already had two games ruined because the game wouldn’t let me move my assault after engaging run and gun, by preventing me from changing elevation (occasionally can’t go up), and by not able to consistently disable bombs/bomb timers. And those are just the bugs I found in 30 min of playing. Seems like a faithful recreation of the PC version. Too bad it appears to be unplayable.
