Login Issues

First attempt, couldn't get the login link to open the login page. After shutting down the app and starting over, I made it to the login screen. However, twice after entering my account number and password, is showed it was processing for about a second and then nothing. Thinking I might have mistaken my password, I went to the Hyatt web site and was immediately able to log in. Back to the app, and had the same issue. I'm a diamond member with Hyatt, enjoy their hotels, but will be a while before I try their app again. Wasted too much time on it already.

The link to login to the rewards program doesn't work. If you have an iPhone, you'd be better off using Safari and bookmarking the website to your home screen.

So apparently the app no longer properly stores you login credentials, even if you tick the box to tell it to. Also still doesn't support Touch ID like Hilton and SPG do.

I just wanted to book a room and it keeps saying I have to complete all the required information with an asterisk. Really??? I've only completed every field 15 times and hit pay and submit all to be kicked back to the beginning with the same error message. First time using this app and it was a complete fail!

New update does not work....Does Hyatt even care? Case study in how NOT to leverage tech/mobile (and frustrate your customer base). Person responsible for this app should look for a new line of work... Older Version: pre update: Used to be able to view reservations. Haven't been able to see anything in weeks. App had minimal functionality at best - now completely useless. Unfortunate, since now I have to call Hyatt and use their resources to check on reservations versus being able to self-serve over the app.

This app by itself is great so far! But compared to the massive POS that preceded it, this app is truly phenomenal! Way to finally step up your game Hyatt.

Two of the most disappointing features, or should I say lack thereof, is that one you can't see past reservation. Two account information is limited. You can't see how the points accumulated. How much was earned for each individual stay. And the point activity for each stay.

New release simple to use

Clean home page. Excellent search for hotels page. Very fast. Type ahead is quick and nice touch with the children's age selectors popping based on how many children.

Every time Hyatt upgrades this app, they make it worse. Harder, now, to find what you need. No information about GP account beyond balance....can't see past stays or GP tier status. It's clunky, and a step back from the already under-performing app it replaced. Hyatt should convene a panel of frequent stay guests, ask them what they want in an app, and then go design it.
