Cannot play audio with adblockers on
chadlavi

It’s duplicitous and unfortunate that they need to connect to known ad servers just to play audio. Makes the app completely useless for anyone who cares about security.

Doesn’t work
Mr. Hare

It’s easier to listen to WNYC on Safari then with this app. Works when it wants to.

Inconsistently good, too many ads
The Arthurian Legend

You get way more ads on the app, so every time you open it you hear two ads, missing the actual news. Big reason why I stopped donating. Now you can’t listen to the app unless the app is open and active; it won’t keep playing in the background!!! What the actual heck?? Defeats the purpose of the app. My advice: get a radio, dump the app.

Needs a lot of love
namtastic

For the love of god, don't leave buttons/scrubbers/etc. UI *underneath* the task switcher bar on iPhone X hardware. You can see it right there in the App Store screenshots. I don't even care that the app takes 3 seconds to start anymore (yes, we get it, JLGreene is great). Just fix basic app features of "being able to reposition audio without accidentally switching apps"

This app is not user friendly
johnnyfiveohyeah

Radiolab used to have their own awesome quirky little app with shows that went back to the start(some of the best shows imo) but I guess WNYC said no more. The older shows are no longer available. The wnyc app over all is not pleasing to use. Same for the podcast.

Won’t Open
Soho Arch

Crashes every time.

Love WNYC but app CRASHES all the time
BeeGeeHarlem

Error loading message. Most of the time. I can log in via chrome on my device so it’s just the app.

Not connecting

For the past few days, the iPhone and iPad apps are unable to stream. Usually reliable. Have deleted and reinstalled to no avail.

Works Occasionally

Not often enough to be useful.

Great app... when it works

The FM live stream keeps failing (for past two weeks), though the AM stream has no issues. Fine for Morning Edition, but I need my BBC News Hour fix at 9 am!
