The ability to select what information is relevant to your pursuits makes it so useful, and you can compare models to make the best informed decision. After I just deleted WU because of their horrible mess after TWC got ahold of them I was left spending time trying to find a new weather app. I think I found it here. Donations incoming. Keep it up and don’t sell out like all the other apps after TWC got them. So far I really like the detailed map for my immediate location so I can even see a holler might be out of the wind or other elements. I need details and there are a lot here! Thanks and bravo.
Best weather app I’ve found yet

Full screen maps, simple to use, fast loading, lots of layers to choose from , cool features like partial animations, track weather by ships and buoy on the ocean, check weather at different altitudes and no adds.
Weather Radar isn’t good

I like the general set up of this app but the weather precipitation radar isn’t very good. It’s raining lightly but a measurable amount outside and it’s not showing any precipitation anywhere near me. Also some weird non English characters for city names keep showing up and I’ve set the language to English.

Satellite map not working

The satellite map stopped working after one day. I’m using an iPhone 10. Rebooting the phone and reloading the software didn’t work.
Has replaced all other weather info sources

I don’t even use any other news or internet sources for weather information anymore. Once you know how to use the Windy App you will have ALL the weather information that is possible, not just the highlights that the news presents.

Windy is fascinating! The graphics load so quickly and allow me to scan the entire world. Wonderful source of a variety of useful weather data.
