As long as it’s working, it’s great. But the initial setup of the device with this app (and if you ever have to setup the device again with this app because the device just stops responding ... which happens every so often) is a complete nightmare. The. Worst. Setup. Process. Ever.
Functionally impaired

I liked the initial versions, but with recent versions, the app is functionally impaired. Why would only Wemo app need to access location information, while all other apps work fine on either LTE or WiFi connection. Wemo app can’t work on own WiFi network and still need to have location access to be enabled? That sound a bad design altogether. Even with all of this enabled, Wemo app can’t connect or detect the devices consistently. Belkin, need to really improve this app functionality.

One of the worst apps ever for a smart device, spent hours restarting either the switch or my phone and at the end of it it still doesn’t work. Not worth buying Wemo product with this kind of support look elsewhere.

Previous version would always open and see the mini switches. This latest version does not open on the iPhone without me shutting the phone down and then restarting. Even then it does not always open. In addition I have 2 older mini switches and two new ones. The app always complains it can not detect the newer versions

Wemo mini switch??? Quick, return it before you go through the pain the rest of us writing reviews have. It seems like all of the other Wemo products get great reviews, but the app and setup experience for the Wemo mini switch is nothing short of insanity. The app crashes CONSTANTLY during setup. You connect to the Wemo switch, it crashes. You enter your network credentials, it crashes…repeatedly. Last night I got stuck in a loop where it was trying to force me to add my plug using a QR code that only the newer plugs have with no way out other than to uninstall and reinstall the app. Crazy. The Wemo mini switches constantly lose connectivity and must be reset, resulting in going through Step #1 fun all over again. The mini switches don’t seem to be able to handle a Mesh network setup with the same SSID. I have 2 mesh nodes, both with the same SSID. The SSID is listed twice in the network setup options. The app only works if you are able to connect all mini plugs to the SAME mesh node…luckily for me, I can. Otherwise, you are only going to see whichever wemo’s are connected to the main mesh node (assuming that’s what your phone/app is connected to). I can’t UNRECCOMEND this app enough due to how poorly it works and the frequency with which I have issues. I don’t think I’ve ever been through a simple setup process with at least MULTIPLE app crashes. Oh, and in case you’re wondering…Apple iPhone X….all of the updates, and the app is up to date too. But it has always worked like this, so it’s not a recent app update that made it unstable. Get your act together, Belkin. This is unacceptable.

Junk. Useless. Always check the wemo before leaving the house. Works okay, but does not work after leaving. Says wemo not detected. Not satisfied. Will not buy another product from belkin.

Wish I could give it a zero. They never pair or connect to WiFi which is there main purpose. The tech support is never willing to help. All around terrible. I would go with any other product
