worst public radio app ever. constantly halts the live stream and wont restart... over high speed wifi and mobile. really frustrating. find some other way to listen

Most fragile app ever developed

While the content is high quality the app itself crashes constantly. The app is also the app that can't hand off from/to a Bluetooth device without stopping the stream. Better off using Tunein radio or some other alternative.

I do love the app. It's so convenient. The only thing I wish it had was a search bar so I can avoid having to scroll through all the shows. Also, a way to organize the shows, alphabetical, for example, would be great.

Love the streaming, but buggy

Once I get this working, it does a good job. But, it’s super buggy when changing sources I’m playing to like a Bluetooth speaker (usually stops playing and is picky about starting again). It’s also frustrating how long it takes shows to be available to play after they are not “live”.

WBUR is so much better than this

WBUR is a genuine community pillar in Boston, thus it is a shame that this app has so many bugs that it constantly freezes. I am not a software engineer, but it seems this app needs to be rebuilt completely.

12-18-17 Didn’t think it could get worse but it does. Forever to load, refresh screen sometimes takes 40 seconds. Horrible. Starts stops, crashes frequently. Have deleted and reloaded many times. WBUR, how many notices and bad reviews does it take for you to fix this. This is an ongoing issue for 2+ years. This phone is an iPhone 6S Plus with 128Gb of storage. All other apps are fine. This is the exception. Please FIX! P.S. I am a software engineer. This is embarrassing to an otherwise fine station. I love-hate this app. Great to have time shifting and saving of favorite programs. BUT why is the interface still SLOW. It takes sometimes 30 to 40 seconds to get past the loading/buffering phase. Can’t change or update UI during this time or even be sure the button press was registered. Come on, this should be trivial to fix. Trying to scroll is a painful exercise. No excuse. This is the only app on my iPhone 6 Plus that does this. 32016-Previous versions were more consistent. Now audio stream frequently is get in never ending fragments of continuous repeats. Please fix, very annoying!0

Poor consistency on posts

ATC and Morning Edition haven’t been archived for three days, haven’t seen archives of ATC from weekends at all - currently (18 Jan) ATC archived episodes are 9, 10, 15 Jan - I’m currently stationed in Europe and can’t stay up all night to hear ATC, so it’s my wake up, but considering BUR’s inconsistency in archiving, it’s more frustrating than useful.
