All I can say is wow...what a pleasant surprise on this update. Clean design, just works.

I've been using various iPhone apps to listen to WBUR for years, and the new Listen app is by far the best. It's reliable, simple, and the best way - radio, web, app, or otherwise - to get a full picture of all the shows and programming happening at WBUR. I'll be listening for a long time...

Glitchy unstable app on iPhone constantly cuts out...and yes, it's updated. Sheesh- hand me back my radio!

A perfect app for those who need to consume their news asynchronously. The WBUR app does a fantastic job of consistently delivering top quality, highly nuanced, and intelligent discussion about the world. I have never experienced any technical issues with the app, having used it with iphone versions 4 - 7, as well as my ipad. Please tell your friends; quality news has never been more important!

Stable app with variety + NPR

I've been using this app b/c the NPR news app repeatedly crashes. Even though I live in California, I find this app to be an excellent source of news and in-depth analysis. Even when I tune in to live shows mid-stream, the app allows you to begin listening from any point prior to broadcast time so you don't have to wait for the podcast to be made available. Another good feature is that the BBC news is more timely available on WBUR than it is thru the BBC's own podcast app (go figure!). The variety of other programs is also excellent.

Doesn't handle signal interruptions well

The content is of course excellent, but the app needs some work. When cell signal drops, the audio will pause and not resume. Pressing play/pause with no feedback on whether the app is frozen or buffering is frustrating. Transition from wifi to cell also has issues. Interface should inform the user what is going on. I suspect this is a rebrand of some underlying radio streaming tech that needs more funding! Hope WBUR can make it happen.

Great when it works, but signal us interrupted its hard to re activate. The live/time delay feature is a great idea, but frustrating in actual use. Buttons have delayed response to touch screen and sometimes the only way to restart after a signal interruption is to power in and off. Great station, but I miss the seamless play of the old app.
