I like the app itself, but I don’t think I should have to pay for premium just to watch animas such as lucky star, and you get about 2 to 6 ads per video, compared to getting one or 2 on YouTube, plus, you can just go to the websites or watch the anime’s dubbed online for free, just saying, that my opinion, I give it a 4/5. Because of these reasons I explained, now byeee!!!!

The latest update screws up your watchlist.

If you are a premium member, the latest app update limits the # of shows in your watchlist. You'll have to search for the missing shows individually to watch them. You can see all the shows on your watchlist displayed normally using your web browser.

The ads are killing me

After using this app for a good month, I can confidently say I hate it. I’m sure it’s been said enough, but the ads are abominable. During one thirty minute show on the platform, you have around 4 entire black bars symbolizing ads, but what those don’t tell you is that there are not only three ads, but when they are tapped on they will redirect you to a page on the internet, which is frustrating enough, but when you go back into the app it takes you to another show (the one advertised) so you have to find the show you were watching, which once you do finally get on, the ad stops entirely, and since tapping is a redirect, your only option is to exit the app, open it again, find what you were watching, and watch three more ads without tapping. Watching a show shouldn’t have that complicated of a process to actually enjoy it.

In the beginning this was the app I would go to watch some anime or live action. That was going great for a few months but now all of a sudden when I try to link it up to my tv like I used to it is just constantly loading no matter how long a waited it never came on. I don’t know if this is an issue with anyone else or if they are looking into it but until then I am no longer using VRV.

I got on my account and it said I wasn’t caught up on DB Super. That was fine, however when I got on again it said another episode was watched. This is making me think someone is using my account. That or something went wrong with the account transfer from my old iPhone to my new.

I mostly use this app for watching anime that I can't watch on Hulu or Netflix. And even though Hulu has ads, I still prefer it over the Crunchyroll app. The ads in that are just awful. So imagine my hope when I see this app. I was so hopeful. And it worked for a little bit. I was enjoying the app. But then, while watching Miss Koboyashi's Dragon Maid, I noticed that the subtitles were out of sync with the video and that subtitles would sometimes stay on the screen. Ever since, it's plagued the app. When watching dubbed anime, it's fine, but what if I want to watch a sub? That's when I checked the FAQ for help. Turns out VRV actually addressed the EXISTENCE of the problem, but they never actually did anything about it. How do I know this? BECAUSE THAT POST WAS SIX MONTHS AGO. WHAT THE HECK?! YOU WERE SO CLOSE, VRV! YOU FIXED THE ADS BY MAKING THEM SHORTER, BUT NOW THE KEY FEATURE OF ANIME, THE SUBTITLES, ARE ALL SCREWED UP! AND I KNOW THAT YOU AREN'T GOING TO RESPOND TO THIS REVIEW BECAUSE YOUR LAST UPDATE WAS TWO FREAKING MONTHS AGO! Just...I'm disappointed.

I really do love anime and the wide selection they have, but honestly, I’m getting tired of watching 6 two minute ads in an anime that’s supposed to be 25 minutes long. It’s getting ridiculous and annoying. This app is only meant for people who are willing to go exclusive.

I don’t know what happened

I love this app 10/10 but recently I went to watch a show in my watch list and it didn’t show any of the shows that I saved to it but when I search the shows manually and click on them it shows that they are in my watchlist. So why can’t I see them?

Wont cast to chromcast

The app used to work great with Chromecast. But for several months in a row, it won’t cast anymore. I don’t want to watch shows on my phone, I want to watch on my TV. It isn’t worth $9.99/month to watch shows on my phone.

Great but has small issues

So I gotta say I love this app but it has its issues like all apps. I would recommend this app even though it has those annoying glitches. Like I can’t see most of my watch later on the app and I have to actually check each show individually which is kinda annoy it would be easier if you had a schedule section for each channel or even today’s new episode area on each channel cause I think the what’s new on VRV to day section works but I feel like some shows aren’t there. Though you hav many strengths like your wide selections and lots of VRV only stuff that’s so interesting and things I would have never watched without the app so I give you that but once you fix the subtitles, the watchlist was easier to use and ways to see new episodes easier and faster. The app would be amazing if these small things were fixed.
