This app needs to a new update it won’t let you connect your device to your existing network and when you stop using it will disconnect itself an will make it impossible to reconnect back to your network. You have to re add it as a new device. It’s so frustrating.


New update took away control

With the new update I cannot control my TV. There is no directional button and they took away the little swipe box. Update is garbage should’ve bought a Sony

I find this app very frustrating and hard to use. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, and sometimes it does unpredictable things. Don’t rely on it. Keep the real remote close by, you’ll need it.


Horrible app. No arrows

Wants me to press arrows only there are none. There’s an icon on top right that shows arrows. You press that and then it tells you to tap or swipe in larger box. Confusing. Doesn’t work. And tv told me to get new remote and gave me a code. Code doesn’t work and I am signed in to my account on vizio Just horrible app.

Never again. We have bought Vizios before and I hated them. But foolishly we bought a “smart” Vizio tv. As with all our other Vizio TVs, the sound quality on this one is dismal. Then add on the fact that there is no really usable remote. We’ve tried downloading the Vizio SmartCast app. Can’t make it work. Wouldn’t it be so much easier to just provide a remote control that has all functions: picture quality, sound quality, volume, channel selection, etc. Trust me when I say that the next time I need a tv, it will be ABV (anything but Vizio).

Nothing like a sweet 4K set with an idiot programmer. Over the past two years I’ve installed updates only to be faced with setting up unit from scratch to work on IOS devices. Until today 4/15/2018. Updates totally eliminated any indication. Deleting it.

I am BEYOND fed up with this app!! Half of the time the app is intermittently communicating with the TV while trying to swipe over to an app. Then, if I go a day or two without cutting on my TV. the app will not recognize my TV. and have to pair it all over again. This has to be the MOST stupid idea of a TV concept. Also, if I want to order a regular remote from the website, it’s going to cost me around $30 plus shipping. Dumb idea!! Should have came with a usable remote so WE as consumers have an option, NOT force this minimalistic remote control on us. Signed an Angry Customer from what I thought was a good Brand!! I have the E55-E2 Model. Just in case the developers wanted to know or wanted to contact me about providing a FREE usable Remote. Thanks all, Bryan W.


Do not buy a Vizio

Must frustrating experience I’ve ever had with a tv in my life. Vizio was a great brand before they tried to make “smart” TV’s. This is the exact opposite of a smart TV. Unwatchable unless you want to reset your router and/or the TV. Ridiculous. I’ll never buy a Vizio product ever again.
