Bad customer service

Venmo was very convenient but I had deleted my debit cards i had added to my account and then later tried to add them back and it wouldn’t let me. Called customer service and they couldn’t do anything about it. It made no sense and now I have to find a new means of transferring money.

My only problem is when paying someone you don’t have the option to select which bank or card. It chooses for you.

Don’t know if developers are trying to force me into using the Venmo card but every transaction is now greeted with “lost connection to your bank account”

My spouse and I can’t both use our joint account which is so stupid and unhelpful. So now, only one of us can make payments through the joint account. The “workaround” Venmo has for this in the help section is absurd. Can’t toggle between payment methods in the transaction like you can on PayPal but have to set a source of payment in advance of conducting the transaction. Dumb. Since this is owned by PayPal why on earth can’t they add those simple and helpful basic features??!!

I thought I’d try using Venmo so my mother-in-law could quickly send me and my wife some food money, but after taking the money from her account, Venmo decided we had broken the rules, though it never clarified how. It refused to transfer the money to a bank and permanently locked both our accounts, tying up the money for two weeks while it slowly refunds the amount to my MIL. Now my family hates me for suggesting we try it and we had to eat ramen until payday. Don’t use Venmo.
