Very happy with this service/app!!? I have used the services Venmo offers on many transactions and will continue to do so. I have had to submit a claim on an unauthorized transaction which resulted in a very speedy and favorable outcome!!!! Venmo s customer service is wonderful and easy to contact.

Venmo is basically stealing my money. I tried to initiate a transfer to my bank account with money that was in my Venmo cash. They immediately froze my account. I had also just sent some money to someone else on the app right before I tried to initiate the transfer, and they let that transaction be taken out of my bank account after it was frozen and sent to another user. But after my account was frozen they reversed that transaction and now all this money is just sitting in my Venmo cash and I am completely locked out. Currently my initiated transfer is missing and the other transaction they reversed is just sitting in Venmo cash. They refused to give a reason citing that it’s a security risk for all their users if they disclose the reason as they don’t give reasons to protect their software??? I asked them to just send the transactions back to the original sender or cancel the payments and they just said the matter is closed and the decision was made and they refuse to talk to me. The money was all there in my account but now I can’t do anything, and from what I’ve heard from other users, I will never see that money again. There is a decent amount in my Venmo cash too since they reverse a payment I made from my bank to another user and they are just stealing it all. I am absolutely appalled at their customer service. They can easily see the payments and could send it back to the bank that originated the payment but they choose to hide behind their template emails. And when you try to talk to someone they just say we have to have an account specialist for this. But I can’t talk to an account specialist at this time. All they have to do is reverse it back to the source or let me access my account and initiate a transfer. At this point the money is all in my account they just won’t let me transfer transactions that occurred from my bank back to my bank. It’s that simple, but they refuse to do anything. Based off this experience, I advise all users, current and future, to stop using this service. These people have too much power but pretend they can’t do anything. They are a bunch of thieves if you ask me. I’ve never been so frustrated with a company in my life.

Venmo won’t allow me to verify my account. All my information input was correct and I was even case sensitive with my entries. Then I updated the app and still the same problem. Please fix this ASAP.
