Rules to advance not explained properly

I have gotten up to two stars an expert level, and I still really don’t understand what the rules are. The app description is vague and cryptic. Please explain properly how rounds advance and how it resets. Please add detailed explanation of how the game works in the app itself as a separate button. I play half an hour every day, without being clear on the rules. My wife also could not explain how additional stars are won. Sad.

Fun game but does not show words not found

Can’t listen to podcasts or music

Fun word game that’s easy on battery life, but for whatever reason there’s no option to allow audio from another app while playing. Pretty much any other game I’ve played (especially puzzles) has an option to disable the game audio so you can listen so something else. Even with the sound off in the game, it turns off everything else.

There are literal non-words in this game, with blank “definitions”. Google will confirm this for you. Many other words are nonsense “Scrabble words” — i.e. words that, when Googled, will show you that the most common associated search is “Is ____ a valid Scrabble word?”, because that’s the only place you’ll ever find them. A Scrabble game. You will not know these words, and you are required to find them in order to complete puzzles in this app. This ruins the whole game, even at the easiest levels. Slang, acronyms, words in foreign languages, and proper nouns are all sometimes (but not always) included in the list of words you must find. In puzzle mode, you cannot find out what the words you didn’t get are. Ever. And you cannot finish the puzzle. You just have to leave the puzzle and start a new one, which you will also be unable to complete. This app is a horrible disappointment, and I just hope that I can find a better “anagram game” app. I have no idea why the reviews for this are overwhelmingly positive, considering the issues I have laid out above.

Others have mentioned suggestions. I’m perturbed at the number of legitimate words not in the dictionary. Also I find the board missing the ability to manually rearrange letters a drawback. I think with a few improvements it could be a five star app.

It’s alright as an easy game to kill time but I’m noticing words I KNOW without a doubt I put will sometimes show as words I did not put in. It’s just a little game, so not a huge deal, just a mild annoyance. I play this when friends aren’t available to play anagrams in game pigeon hahaha

Some of the “words” are actually abbreviations not common to the general population; for example, FAS is one of their words, but it is an abbreviation for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Really? It misses many of the words I put in. This happens with at least one words nearly every game. ( I have tested this often because I always assume user error first, but it is definitely not me.) The scoring is unclear and there is no explanation. If I get one of the 6-letter words I move on to the next level. If not, I get a score. What does the score mean? What am I aiming for? Why don’t I get an overall score? Once you have played the same level for an hour or two it starts repeating words. What, they couldn’t find enough words to make the puzzle last longer? The algorithm is so weak that they can’t just put in new words and let the program figure it out?

I love this app. I have been hooked for awhile, my only complaint is that some very common words don’t register but lots of off the wall words are out there. Still fun tho
