Darkmode and HomeKit support

EuphLlama

Requesting a Darkmode setting for the whole app. HomeKit support would be nice for viewing doorbell and cameras through control center.

Protect app on iPhone and AppleTV just fall short

SuperReviewMaster

The iPhone version of the app was fine until the latest release, 1.5.9 (439). We have it connected to our NVR-Pro. It just crashes. No matter what we do. Restart the phone and the app, it’s just buggy and then crashes. It’s currently unusable, but I have faith they will fix that. BUt… we wish the alerts were better. Wish it would accurately trigger alerts based on us being home vs. away. It’s never been able to do that correctly. The AppleTV version of the app is abysmal. Scanning through the timeline is painful. As you scroll, there’s no good way to find what you’re looking for. The tolerance for speed input on the remote and how that whips past what you actually want to see is just silly. The AppleTV version needs a complete overhaul.

The playback has ALWAYS been glitchy

Da90VII

Going on two years with this system and the playback has never been right. It’s always glitchy!! I can live with it on on my network but on any other network good luck viewing your cameras at all. So frustrating!

Been deploying these for high end clients

Ridgeway42

And over the past 3 years alone, it is iotas a difference. Now, this isn’t business class - I would say - and rather use blue iris style system. But for a good small biz or home with unifi routing/UDMP or UDMB (or SE!). The cams are of high quality. My biggest complaints involve supply chain issues and the severe lack of stock (2x pricing on eBay!). Luckily we have snagged quite a bit when it comes available. Finally A client got a the G4 PTZ and I did warn him; that thing needs MASSIVE WORK. We’re an IT company, so I wish this was more IT centric but to me, consumers get confused, pros think it’s a “rip off” (and yet, have G3’s in no climate controlled Texas warehouses that have never missed a beat… compared to Unifi video which the client hated until we upgraded him to protect). The timeline slider is the most impressive user feature to show off. Go ahead ask any business owner to go play back footage on their cams. Maybe 1/10 know how without getting frustrated and changing the subject. Anyway, 5 stars for the ongoing improvements but right now still not a full 5/5 Thanks for reading

Unable to Export Detection Clips

Darin Cirello

Somehow my previous review was removed. This update complete broke the ability to export the motion only part of a video clip. In previous versions, you could swipe left to download. Now you have to enter a start time and stop time range which is very tedious and also does not work. When trying to export a 30 second clip I get many minutes of video instead. Releases need to be thoroughly QA’d before distributing.

Video issue

amdlc11

What is the point in security cameras when you can’t even see the footage.. just keeps thinking and loading ?

No account switching or local access through VLANs

ShinraiBFD

Unable to switch accounts like you can in the UniFi Network app makes it a super pain to manage multiple accounts. No ability to set the NVR IP means I’m constantly accessing my NVR externally instead of internally. Even though the only thing separating the NVR and my device is a VLAN.

Still early on but

ChrisJenx2001

Been using a week but pretty solid so far. Only issue I noticed in the app was it doesn't gracefully switch from local to remote connection. But everyone complaing about hardware, performance and bugs has clearly never used Nest or Ring. Is it perfect no. But to be honest, the quality for what is "free" is pretty dang good. I would happily pay for a premium plan which had support and SLA. Or more so let them add more full time developers.

Loss of essential function

rreddig

Previously the app would let you download detections or clips with a single swipe. That function is now gone. What happened?

Bricked App Yet Again

K9JWADE

The app for iPad is broken with this update….idk why I even update anymore. Once it’s on a stable update NEVER UPDATE IT
