I have started selling on Tradesy before they raised the commission fee to 19.2%. Sales went well before that time, but significantly declined after they raised the fee. Further, there is now a flat commission fee for all items sold below $50. This means that if you sell something for $15 (which is also the minimum you can sell an item for), you earn $7.50 minus transfer fee of 2.9%. Shipping options are very expensive, the prepaid label costs $10.50 and the shipping kit costs $14. Only if you choose to handle and pay for shipping yourself, you get to set a price for shipping. Commission rates are also being deducted from the total price of the item + shipping cost, which is in my opinion very unfair. This way, sellers basically don’t get the full price for shipping as they have to give 19.2% of he total price to Tradesy. Overall, Tradesy is a good concept, but there needs to happen some change to keep customers (buyers and sellers) around. There are other similar services that don’t charge nearly as much and give you more freedom in terms of shipping label and shipping costs.

The app is okay but watch for careless glitches when listing an item -- 1. All photos get cut into a square. Sorry stock photos, photos of jeans, and photos of long dresses, we won't be seeing the top and bottom. Unless it's from a mile away. 2. Careful when editing listings, your shipping charges may disappear to $0. 3. The % off retail discount is not calculated correctly. 4. FACTS: Size 28 = size 6. Size 30 = Size 10. The jeans category does not know this. Tradesy is quickly becoming my least favorite app for selling. I feel stranded and unimportant when there are continual commission hikes full of empty improvement promises, a bogus 2.9% transfer fee, a very slow wait to get paid for sales followed by an even longer wait for money to transfer. Something doesn’t feel right with Tradesy anymore. For buying, the only emails I get don’t excite me—I don’t by a new LV everyday. Their marketing seems very out of touch.

I cannot believe these people at tradesy changed the stars from 1 to four. I initially gave it a 1 star and when I came back to update it it was changed to 4!!! What the heck? What kind of shady and fishy people are you if you change the Stars on your own to make yourselves look better? If you are thinking of signing up on TRADESY to start selling your stuff, think again. Their fee is almost 20% and even after your item is delivered to the customer with tracking, they hold your money for however long they can. They said up to 21 days. What?!?!? Also when it’s finally available for transfer to your bank account or PayPal, there is about 3% fee even if you request direct deposit to your bank account. Can I just say they are crazy? Also the customer service reps are really stubborn and will not release your earnings even though there is NOTHING wrong with your item. It is ridiculous and obvious that they are doing something else with your earnings and that’s why they cannot release the funds to the sellers. Very fishy... stay away from this app all future buyers & seller!!!

I don’t know who wrote this but this is not what I said about Tradesy get to shop on Tradesy’s especially when you have afirm to help you purchase your items and gives you those monthly payments for easier process you don’t have to go broke buying something that you would really like to have I don’t have all the money at one time so for my experiences I would have to say give it a shot try it and see what you think you for yourself thank you

Tradesy is totally on the side of the buyer. I had someone purchase a designer jacket from me, it was in like new condition. The buyer returned it claiming there were stains, etc and I received a jacket that wasn't even mine! It was clearly a fake! I do not understand how people can get away with this kind of crap! I'm still waiting for a response from Tradesy and have not only lost my jacket that I could have sold on a reputable companies site, but also I'm out hundreds of dollars!!
