Good service

CJ Oscar

I have not tried other versions but I’m very happy with this app. It does everything that I want from an “office assistant”, keeping me on top of my schedule. The fees are minimal and the data is reliable.

Use anything else - Appigo are horrible

danfrommass

I was very happy with Appigo 8 and used it every day. Then - without warning and without giving me a choice these people replaced my app with their new app in a cynical move to get me to sign up for their cloud scheme. It’s not only the money - I would have to abandon the other tools that I use that they used to work with. They refuse to allow us to re-install the working app that we paid for I doubt that they will be able to sustain their business given the shoddy way they treat their customers

No more third party sync

Iphoneuserdlh

They removed the third party sync. I realized it after paying for 1 year. Do not buy. If you need 3rd party sync do not pay. That feature does not exist anymore.

Slapped in the face

Andrewbootlegger

First they changed the “non-cloud” version to basically this app which you have to pay to use and can no longer use third party sync on. After a review backlash, they pulled the other version and now leaving us with this one. Nice bait and switch, Appigo. Toodledo has an app too!

A steep fall from Todo 8

Sampledelic

While the original Todo 8 was a brilliant, indispensable application, a recent upgrade has greatly diminished its interface, and I’m no longer finding it useful for task management. I’ve had success in switching over to Toodledo, which was the cloud service I originally used in Todo 8. The handling of priorities and sorting in the Toodledo interface is the most similar I’ve seen to Todo 8, and it can be customized to provide a comparable user experience. Best of luck to those of you in a similar situation!

Garbage

gar in oakland

I used Todo 8 for more years than I can remember. And then one day the company up and switched me, without consent, to version 10, which requires an annual fee. I believe the first year is free. But the program is broken beyond repair. It doesn’t automatically tell you the number of tasks you have for the day, like 8 did. You have to open the app first before the number badge appears on the app’s icon. That’s rubbish. And it ruins the whole point of the app. Or, to paraphrase Dr. Strangelove, the whole point of the app is lost, IF YOU KEEP IT A SECRET. The whole interface is ruined under 10, and even entering new tasks is a chore. I’m actively searching for a new task list program because this one doesn’t cut it. At all. 0/5 stars.

Don't be fooled

Vengy

Don't be fooled by looking at the 5 star reviews. Read the 1 star reviews first. Enough said. Beware: Greedy Appigo abruptly removed version 8 from the App store without any notice whatsoever and forced all the users to sign up for their cloud service. Why on this earth I need to sign up for your cloud service even to use a simple todo app? Appigo devs must be out of their minds.

This is an amazing app

I’m using this app from 2011 I relied on him for many things There is no other app to be preferred I really love him MYN

Still a great app!

This is the review I wrote I can't remember when but it's still true. "Have been using for years. Started using it after trying out a number of other apps. It was the only one I could find at the time that supported a structured organization - lists, projects, tasks and checklists within tasks. The rest all seemed to focus on straight lists and didn't recognize that tasks stretch out over time - day you'd like to start it culminating with a day it must be completed (due). Apps in this area have evolved since I did my search (5 yrs ago???) but I don't think so. This is my goto app for managing my disparate "task groups"." This review is just as true now as it was then. I use this app to support planning for major vacations, recurring business trips, and general stuff at home or for church. I've set up templates for major vacations and recurring business trips that I can duplicate and edit as appropriate. What's not to love? I don't know of any other application that let's me plan and track my progress as well as this app does.

Getting Things Done (GTD)

I have adapted the app to work with my understanding of David Allen’s GTD. It would be nice if a series of tasks within a project could be uniformly advanced with the same changing of one date. It would be nice if a project template could be copied and renamed for new matters. -mjs
