PROS: One of the best action RPGs ever made - now available on iOS! Graphics are great and touch controls work surprisingly well. CONS: Plagued with game breaking bugs and iOS syncing issues. Can also be a little laggy, but not enough to effect gameplay. See below for my experience (bug report?): It's great to see an old classic like Titan Quest on my iPad, but this game is unplayable. In the 3 hours I played, it crashed 9 times. I even tired a hard restart and I set the graphics too low. Doesn't seem to be purely a graphics issue. Memory management maybe? Please fix so I can recommend this game! Update: Maybe it's the nostalgia, or maybe I'm a gluten for punishment...in either event I'm still playing. Well, by "play" I mean: 20 minutes of gameplay - crash - restart - repeat. I've run into another issues I wanted to share: iOS game save really needs work. I was playing on my iPad and wanted to switch to my iPhone to see if it crashed less often. Made sure iCloud save option was turned on for both devices. Tried everything get sync to work...leaving the game(s) at the main menu(s) for several minutes, starting a game / saving and exiting to main, etc. Closed and reopened the game 30 + times before the iOS game save came up. Good news is there's a little less lag on the iPhone. Bad news is that it still crashes. Now I'm trying to move the save back to my iPad, but I'm stuck in the iCloud save sync limbo. Can we expect more updates soon?

Overhauls
This game is GREAT! Turn off the save to iCloud feature and for ME that eliminated all the annoying crashes. With those gone, the game is amazing!

I loved this game on PC and this a pretty good port. However, I have lost my save twice now. I have it set to use cloud saves and I always save the game before leaving the app. Hopefully they can fix this, I don't want to put in anymore time until they do.

UPDATE: Still bloody brilliant! However there is a game stopping bug remaining from the original release leaving me stuck at the Athens docks unable to proceed (dialogue tree with ships captain isn't available). Dotemu support was quick to respond, however I was told I would have to restart, which wasn't the answer I really wanted. Please try to fix this.. Great port of a great game!! Graphics look even better than I remember! A few control niggles (especially picking up objects during combat, and picking up objects in general, lol!) but otherwise it plays smoothly and intuitively and the pinch zoom is just great. Shows how playable some old PC ports can be on iOS. Let's bring back some more old favorites dotemu - I love what you guys are doing!!

By itself, the game is great! I heard about it from friends, bought it, played for an hour and then fell asleep. The gameplay is smooth (stuttering is very rare) and I enjoyed the plot. But it was late, so I closed the app and fell asleep. When I woke up in the morning, my phone was almost too hot to touch. I'm forced to uninstall. To DotEmu. Guys, please, you've made such an excellent game that's so much fun to play. Just fix the overheating issue. But in the meanwhile, $6.99 wasted. :(

The game is amazing, just like the original release. But the dpad used for movement is awful. The game would be much better if there were "tap to move" controls similar to mouse movement. After all, it's the way the game was meant to be played in the first place.
Almost as good as D2

Almost. Few bugs I've noticed like controls failing to work for a few secs for no reason ( no, I was not under any effects like stun at the time). When auto combating by holding down attack you will sometimes just walk off and do nothing even with other enemies right next to you. But honestly other than that and the fact there is no multiplayer, this as far as the iPad goes, is the closest thing to Diablo 2 you are going to get. May even bump to five stars if they bring in the expansion.

The game is virtually unplayable till they get the bugs fixed and god knows when that will be DOTEMU rarely releases updates and my saved game data constantly erases and reverts me back to character level 1 I've put almost 30 hours into the game trying to work around the bug to no avail. I've even reinstalled. Doesn't work. Please please please release a ?!$&ING bug fix DOTEMU.
