The update cost me all of my cards

Pumpdog

Initially, this app was wonderful. A great way to put down bits of information that you wanted to recall later. I updated the app and when I went to look for my cards they were gone. I wrote to the developer but haven't heard from them.

DuoLingo had a major revision a few weeks ago. Tinycards now do not match up with the DuoLingo lessons and don’t include all the new vocabulary. Some of the phrasing of the cards is not very natural either and doesn’t take into account that some words have multiple meanings.

Missing A Very Popular Language

I’m learning Korean on Duolingo and so far it’s been great and I’ve been able to understand some words in the KPop and Kdramas that I watch so you can imagine my disappointment when I downloaded this app and there wasn’t a Korean flash card made by Duolingo. Yes, there are some Korean flash cards made by people who have the app which had been a very helpful substitute, but I would much rather prefer the app that teach me the language to have the flash cards for it. Please fix this soon! I really want to further my learning of the amazing language by using this app along with Duolingo!

Love this app but...

I love this app but it won’t let me swipe to go to the next one I have to hit hide card but then I can’t go back in to it! My dad tried to swipe it to and it didn’t work either

I love tiny cards. It’s pretty simple and if you mainly need to expand your knowledge of objects or meanings of words, it’s perfect. I’ve been using it to brush up on my German. If I were trying to learn the language exclusively through tiny cards I don’t think it would work because it doesn’t really tell you why things are a certain way in a language. The other thing that annoys me is that some of the decks have several German words that are the same as English words. I already know those so why should I have to click through them? Overall, I think it’s a great program that I highly recommend.

Poor quality control

>go to learn russian >get to second set of flash cards >"boy" and "apple" and "and" audio works okay >"he eats" = iOS error message saying "there was a problem playing this audio please try again later" >click "ok" >uninstall Junk app developed by junk devs that needs to be culled

Honest Opinion

The structure of the app is childlike yet professional. It takes effort to learn quick but I’m in no rush so I play it when I’m bored, then it gets a little addicting and I get excited cuz I’m learning while having fun.

The English pronoun “you” can be either singular or plural. The cards don’t specify which they mean. The card will simply say, “You eat.” Is it asking the user for “tu mangi” or “voi mangiate”? If you don’t guess correctly which it means, it tells you that you’re wrong. Sometimes if one provides the personal pronoun with the verb, it says one is wrong. At other times if one omits the personal pronoun, one is declared wrong. The program’s capriciousness is frustrating.

Reperture

The app is rated for age 4+ but adult content (nudity, etc.) shows up when you do the web picture search depending on search terms.
