Great app, but new version needs work

ABR3434

This is a solid outlining app with a few creative differences from other ones. Well worth a try. BUT... You don't get small incremental improvements with this app, but big, jarring shifts. This year the appearance took a positive step, but we lost the unique and convenient shortcut buttons on top, and more importantly Dropbox sync. Not everyone is into iCloud and it's pretty harsh to just take away a major feature like that. The "restore" option mentioned in the description does not work.

I love this app! Thanks for the new release.

I have used ThinkBook for many years now and while I have to admit that that I hadn’t used it much lately prior to this new release, I’ve always been impressed by the innovative way ThinkBook allows for the fast and efficient management of line items in tasks, projects, notes, and really anything that can help you get and stay organized. However, this new release has brought be back in like never before. Yes there are things that can be improved but what app doesn’t have these. I highly suggest you try this app out and give yourself a little time to understand how it operates because it will change how look at productivity tools.

Un intuitive

Generally I am very picky about text editing apps or note taking apps. I saw this was free and thought I'd try it out. In all honestly it seems like not a lot of time has been spent on the usability of this app. Swiping left and right and clicking on one to edit just keeps you on the inbox. Very bad user flow. Interface and design is right but the flow is bad.

So Good!

Best for organizing and reorganizing thoughts. Excellent!

Great app!

This is a great app. It does take some time to figure it out, but when you do, it makes organizing info very easy. It really has many uses, which totally depend on your needs. It's very versatile! I really like having it on my iPhone too! Which leads me to my only issue; the way the iCloud service works. It's nice to be able to transfer notes/notebooks between devices via iCloud, but that's all it does. I would like to be able to make changes on one devise, and have the cloud update it on the other devises. The way it is now, the iCloud feature really wasn't worth paying for. I could use dropbox to do that, but then the dropbox feature is now missing. Fix that, and I'd give this app 5 stars!

Yay!

I just found out today that ThinkBook is now available on the iPhone. Literally made my day. Download it, you won't regret it!

It grows on you...

I have had this app for a while, and I always liked it well enough, but there were other apps that were easier to learn. I have recently come back to this app and I realize now that it is incredibly useful and versatile. I have endless notes and snippets of writing, thoughts I want to keep organized and often move around as I edit and combine. This app truly does make it easy to create layers of organization in a number of ways, and for a prolific but disorganized writer like me, this app is just what I need to keep my ideas organized. I only use it on my iPad so I have not tried sync, thus I give it only four stars, but I have no complaints. Keep up the good work!

While I like the app...

I'm not a fan or user of iCloud so the removal of Dropbox support leaves my data stranded. Why not leave Dropbox in and add iCloud as another option?

No PDF export!

skaflyer

I have been using ThinkBook since the very beginning and honestly believe it is the best note and idea organization tool. That being said, this release feels like a children's toy. The flat graphics are horrible and have lost the charm of the original app. Oh, and after this many years and there is still no way to save to PDF or otherwise do anything useful with your notes?! I held out hope for a very long time, but I'm done. I have wanted to love this app for years, but it has never shown any love back.
