Unique interface that is elegant.

Catsladder

Very unique elegant interface. Also fast. A pleasure to use. The tutorial gets one started fast. The manual that comes with the program is definitely worth a read. Well written, simple and to the point. Potential future enhancement: iPhone version if possible, a web based version, interface with Evernote, iCloud sync instead of Dropbox sync.

Love the idea, but it has frustrating problems

dance.monkey

The most glaring issue with the app is the apparent hypersensitivity to touches on the screen. 90% of the time if I open a menu it disappears before I can make a selection! I'm assuming because of my hand or finger lightly brushing the screen? I'd write it off as my fault except this has never happened in another app, only ThinkBook. The other minor annoyance is that if you hit enter and create a standard note, then tap todo or question, it creates a new todo or question and keeps your blank standard note above (rather than convert the existing note you're in to.a todo or question). Other than that I really love using the app, but get frustrated by the menu disappearance issue, so I rarely use it.

Good complement to iPad2

Update: still using this app and still loving it. It is great for organizing information and ideas. Just got this app to try out for taking notes in business meetings. Yes, you will want to read the intoduction to the app as the UI is different from the usual. But this inovation makes it a uniquely useful tool for note taking, thought organizing or what ever info you want to keep track of. Definately fills a need for something with more features than a app for short single notes and works better than a word processor (like Pages) would. Everything you need is to orgainze is right at your finger tips - literally. Worth the $1.99. Tried it out in a meeting today and was able to take notes, organize them and create to do's for myself. Haven't used all of the features yet, but I like what I am seeing. Also the support was quick in responding to my questions, even after business hours. Feedback was welcomed, which is a big plus.

Surprise! A powerful personal database

This program is VERY powerful. It does things other programs can't touch, and is well organized, although novel features such as the slider need adapting to. The program manages a large and growing personal database, that makes key use of Outlining, Notebooks, Pages, Projects, and more. It takes a little getting used to, but the effort is well worth it, in my opinion. What keeps the entire collection of personal productivity efforts from becoming unwieldy is a very strong SEARCH function-- one that does pretty much everything you want it to do. For example, suppose you like music, and write or tag items as "music" related. The program not only finds all such "scraps" in the entire full file, it gathers them into a nice list that brings immediate order to all your random notes having to do with music. THAT's something to write home about. I know this software category well, and this is a strong implementation. My wishlist is detailed, but high on the list is introducing an automatic way of keeping track of dates and times when things were written. Recommended for those with the need for an "industrial strength" database.

Great app! Just wish I could learn how to use it.

Just About Perfect

This app is excellent for creating outlines. My one complaint is that I would like to see the keyboard updated to match iOS 7.

Changed my mind...

Ansk

I’ve reloaded this and have spent a bit of time learning to use this app and it is much better than my first review indicated, when I gave it two stars. Once one gets the hang of using this, it becomes a snap to do things, keep meeting notes, make a simple task list, reorder elements, etc. So I’ve begun using this to keep all my meeting notes. My only suggestion to the developers would be to make it sync with DropBox automatically, so that all my devices would stay in sync. I’d also love to see an iPhone version and a better way to email pages. PDF, please? Oh, and I’d love it if it could draw contact information [like email addresses] from the iOS contact app.

Still needs serious work

AO'Donn

Good in the basics, but it could use more interface with the wireless keyboard. Its main flaw, however, lies in the lack of an 'undo' button, thus making it extremely easy, while deleting a blank note, to delete everything indented with it (which, given its spontaneity, a backup would not remedy).

It is great flexible planing

Babenja

I highly recommend this app for all who need Think Write Plan. It is amazing app.

Great Multi Function Tool

Sbonventure

My only concern with this app is that it might be abandoned. It's the only notebook/to do/project manager/outliner I use. Once you get the hang of it, it's the best.
