How hard is it to add Night mode to this app so I don’t burn my eyeballs out while getting my news fix? Seriously NYT, are you a Tier-1 News organization or not?

All controls over what I see and where have been removed. I have to scroll down past "weddings" to get to "science". There is no way to re-order sections.

I love the NYT but the app is getting so cluttered with video ads and automated photo slideshows that it can barely load stories. It’s making for an extremely unpleasant reading experience. I understand the need for some advertising but it needs to be more stationary and it would be nice to have the ability to disable or minimize videos or slideshows.

Great journalism. App is ok. The new widget causes flickering when I added it... (I’m on iOS 14.0). Removing the widget fixed the issue.

Settings option should be given to choose colour theme (white background with black font or black background with white font) or it should be made to work in accordance with day/night mode in phone’s os settings.

I just want to see the daily print version! The Washington Post app does it, why can’t the NYT?

Version 9.3.6 on the current version of iOS on an iPad is irritating. Large articles apparently load in chunks. The content you are reading jumps (frequently completely off the display if you are on a phone) when, I guess, the next chunk is downloaded. Not a good behavior in a news app. Or maybe the news content is just shoved aside for the endless ads and NYT branded news-tainment pod casts. The Washington Post app has better layout and behavior, so if WashPost can do it then the NYT can deliver a better app than this.
