A more user friendly guide or tutorial is needed. Maybe as you navigate each section have a pop up that gives ideas on what to put there.

BRIDES BEAWARE

I’m not sure why no one’s talking about how The Knot limits brides on how many messages they can send to new vendors. I’m a 2022 Bride and I still have a lot of vendors I still need to book but I cannot message anyone new through the app. Why why why. Honestly how ridiculous!?! Apparently there is a limit to how many messages you send but no where online or in the app is the limit mentioned anywhere. If I had known about the limit it would’ve made me be a lot more cautious to who I messaged to begin with. Why one earth would I ever think there would be a limit. Half the vendors I messaged didn’t even get back to me so that’s literally a message wasted that could’ve gone to a vendor that was available. I’m honestly so upset about this because I was finally starting yo crack down on the details and venders for my wedding but now this feels like another hurdle to leap. STOP LIMITING MESSAGES FOR BRIDES!!!!!!

In the fast few weeks every time I try to upload photos to my website though the app and website on computer it keeps saying there’s been an issue. Cover photo doesn’t work either

Pretty Good Overall

The Knot’s app is user-friendly and connects smoothly with the web version. In comparison with other wedding planning apps, I think it’s the best one out there. Other apps are glitchy and contains outdated vendor reccs. I like that The Knots suggests timeline events based on your wedding date, but some of the dates seem incorrect. With Covid wedding makeups still backlogged, finding certain venues/vendors can be pretty competitive and need to be booked ASAP instead of ~4 months out like the app suggests. My other suggestion would be to add a feature where you can add a note to yourself for vendors/venues you’ve favorited. Just a way to keep track of things like their price point, what they offer, etc. And my last suggestion would be a way to send The Knot feedback on outdated vendor/venue information. A lot of times price points had changed, websites were either not listed or broken links, or the company does not exist anymore and it would be nice to have a way to send in that info so it can be updated. But overall the app is incredibly helpful and it’s free!

Resourceful and helpful to plan a wedding

It’s an amazing app, but there are some kinks to work out. It was such a pain to write wedding party profiles and upload pictures from the phone. It just wouldn’t work, so it’s not mobile-friendly. I had to do it through the website on a computer.

Don’t Trust The Reviews!!

Ammille5

You cannot - I replete CANNOT trust the review on The Knot website. I recently reviewed my wedding photographer on their site. Shortly thereafter my review was disputed by the photographer and the review was taken down. It took about three weeks to get it back up after an extremely vigorous verification process. While I appreciate that they want review to be authentic, what I’ve learned from this experience is that you cannot trust the ratio of good to negative review on their site considering how easy it was for my “negative” review to be taken down and how difficult it was to get it put back up. I imagine whenever a vendor doesn’t like a review (say, anything under 4 stars) they likely dispute it and cross their fingers that the reviewer is too lazy to go though the never ending process to ensure the reviews authenticity.

Annoying lack of features

This app NEEDS the ability to hide or delete vendors you’re no longer interested in pursuing. There are so many vendors it’s so hard to keep them all straight. Archiving your old messages is not enough, I don’t even want them to show up in my suggestions. I’ve probably sent inquiries to so many vendors 2 or 3 times because I can’t keep track of who I’ve messaged and who I haven’t.
