Thanks For The Journey

Andreo1950

Thank you for creating part two of this great game! The visuals, the sounds are captivating, and greatly enjoy solving puzzles. Looking forward to future journeys. Your entire team should be proud of the a job well done; we are all fans of your creativity! Have just completed this adventure. It was pure magic! Thank you once again.❤️

Terrible ending...

Outtatune...

I understand leaving it open-ended so you can do sequels, and for the most part I found it engaging and interesting, but I have a few issues. 1) too many of the “stumble around until you solve it by mistake” puzzles. One or two, ok, but ten of the same (each purposeful move moves two others) is annoying. 2) only one thing to solve in the final “all books in locked cages” room, and it was just “slide to find a hidden keyhole”. Pretty boring for a finale. What an anti-climax. Feels like you’re just phoning it in. 3) and 15 minutes of poorly written, poorly read, badly paced poetry as the end?! Was sure there would be more to solve, but no, you make us sit thru an amateur poetry reading just to yell, “Get him!”, and end it? What a disappointment. Also don’t pause in the middle of the rhyming mess, because it will start up AT THE BEGINNING of it again. There was too much talk in this altogether. Ok, a page or two. But 8 pages of chatter, multiple times throughout the game feels like filler. 4) Butchering the pronunciation of “Roger.” Sooo lazy. You could have just put “Italian pronunciation of Roger” into google. 5) Hire people who can do accents! Is Renaissance Italy and they have poorly British-ized American accents. If you are going to read a book to people in the middle of a videogame, at least TRY. Killed a lot of time during isolation for the pandemic, so thanks, I guess, but if quality is going to go down this much with every iteration, don’t bother. First one was great. This one, not so much.

Thank you for this wonderful adventure! Keep them coming.

Amazing, but a tad tedious

Mikey_1988

The graphics, visuals, story, voiceovers are top notch. The mechanics and details of the intricate machines are amazing. Some really good puzzles and novel concepts. The only downside is that I found many parts to be tedious. It’s easy to tap on the correct thing but get no response so you move on and aimlessly try wrong stuff for 20 minutes before coming back and get it to work after several more tries. After getting burned a few times, I just started tapping repeatedly on everything and using hints constantly to speed things up.

Good but not great

Enjoyed the game on the whole. Pretty challenging, though some of the puzzles were annoying. What was supposed to be done was obvious but required fiddling about because you just kept at it till you got it right. Also that ending? A five minute monologue that was somewhat tedious followed by what seems to be an obvious set up for part 3. Honestly it was disappointing.

Nowhere near as good as Episode I

DaveBabe69

I played the first Episode several times, and was always impressed with its logic, functionality and beauty. Episode II has the beauty, but the logic simply stinks. The next step after solving any one puzzle is a shot in the dark, not following logically at all. I am about halfway through, I suppose, and have spent a great deal of my time simply waiting at least for the first hint to be presented, so I can begin to guess what unusual place to look for yet another odd switch. Pretty exasperating and not much fun. Currently, I am trying to place some odd piece of machinery into a winch. No idea why that is necessary, but it simply won’t work. I’m about to give up on this game completely. Please in your next installment, if there is to be one, employ some programmers with a bit of practical knowledge of real machinery, and who can invent puzzles that stimulate creative thinking, not just “here’s another weird button or switch. Guess where it goes!”

House of Da Vinci 2 buggy

Mokanelady

I have worked through chapter 2 twice and still can’t get out of the gazebo because I can’t get the lever in position in frame to use it. I checked walkthroughs and the video does not match my screen. So ... I can’t go any further. A waste of money from my perspective.

Expected better

BoxerDoc

Locked in the winch room with no way out. The hints were obviously for some other area. Had to start the chapter over. Little bugs I understand, but this is too much. Very disappointed.
