Latest app just crashes constantly. Great content. Fix this please. So sloooooow to load. Freezes when opened waiting to refresh content. Unusable
Consistently poor performance

I tolerate this app as I love the content of the site. But only barely... The performance is just awful. It's slow to load and if you aren't careful with your scrolling, the app locks up while it's reloading. Actually, it locks up even if you *are* careful as the developer(s) simply have never figured out how to load / refresh material in the background while allowing you to keep reading a story in the foreground. Come on Daily Beast - you should be embarrassed by this. Get it fixed!

The app does not change orientation for me, which makes it very inconvenient when I have it in my keyboard case.

Love The Beast.... The app crashes constantly now.... Reloaded it and it didn't solve the problem. Won't even open. It's now poo. Update: still poo. Slow. Buggy. Hate the scroll feature- thing. FIX IT!!!! Review #3. Worst. App. Ever. Fix it, for the love of God!!

Dang near impossible to get articles, opening app simply freezes app time after time. I can't figure why it never gets fixed.

All the negatives previously articulated are true. Waiting for it to load is the worst. How IT professionals come up with such a lousy product is baffling. Don't they ever test their own work? And how about a reader feedback section where obviously editorialized news articles can receive a little pushback? Like the NYT. A thoroughly amateur effort.

I deleted the app from my iPad for good. I tried deleting it and then reinstalling it but that didn't work. Just stuck the minute you opened it. Could not move anything. Waited and waited but that didn't help either. Too bad.

This site has interesting articles but the worst web mechanics I've ever seen. If you open it 4 times over several hours you may be able to navigate it a little before it crashes. Hire someone to fix it and it will be successful , don't and we will simply delete it as unusable !
Poor Design and Performance

Two miserable aspects of this app are the performance and the design. The refresh function for this news app takes so long to complete you would think the app was hacked. Most apps refresh when you tap the top of the page but this app shows you an irrelevant display of 'Your Stats'. It is a standout poor design.
