App itself works fine. However BN is greedy and has multiple ads in every article. Every time your scrolling you can’t avoid the ad which opens a web page. Until this is removed or corrected this app gets a zero in quality. BN cares about ads more than user experience. This is real news.

Shuts down or freezes constantly. Reinstalled, it continues. Don't bother downloading the app. Better yet, get your liberal brainwashing elsewhere.

OK but duplicate notifications are really annoying

I really like the e-edition. Easier to read at the breakfast table than the paper edition. The app itself is just OK. Some reviews state that it does not work with iOS 11 but it works fine for me. I had to turn off notifications because I get at least 2, and as many as 4 duplicate notifications of new stories. Really annoying!

App does not show all text links on nav pages (they disappear behind picture blocks and can’t be scrolled). Hyperlinks on article pages missing. This app is a poorly-executed port of their web page.

Want to like it but...

I have an digital only subscription, because we should all support our local press. The app is awful. It fails to update regularly, there is practically zero discoverability. The future of the press is online, and the News deploys a half-baked off the shelf solution that I hate to use. The web experience is slightly better. Subscribe anyway, because a viable press is vital.
