Keeps opening the App Store to install Candy Crush game, even if I don't touch the screen again after launching the BN app.

I can understand that they may need to keep ads in the app even after you log in with a paid account, but their placement is a UI nightmare. The "Next Article" button is tiny and sits immediately above the banner ad. This causes the full screen ads to come up very frequently when you are trying to change articles.

As a Buffalo expatriot, I still rarely want to check a Buffalo story. Not with this switch and bait app. Put your money down or pound salt. I happily pay for the NY Times, which I look at daily, and the same for my Gannett local paper. But, BOTH of those papers allow the occasional visitor to see a few articles before demanding subscription. Not so the News. It's drop dead on the first look or get a paid subscription. Too bad. It gets zero eyeballs wastes the time of those who make the mistake of downloading.

This paper should allow anyone to use the app, not just paid subscribers. You can't read anything but the headline unless you subscribe and log in- and this seems to be a recent change. Like they can't make enough money off advertising...

This app is an amateur production. Wrong links and non-existent links consistently litter this app. It's well designed, horrifically maintained.

Over the last few weeks, the app on my iPhone started crashing in the Gusto section. Works fine on my iPad. Please fix it!
