Very basic

KarenLVH

The app gives you days worth of news. Good for headline reading but be prepared to sort through and re-read all the headlines to figure out what you've read and what you haven't. Format is not user friendly for daily paper readers.

No weather?!

Sarcoupon

Serviceable app (if you subscribe) but it doesn't have local weather-at least that I can find. The "articles" that have web links are a little PITA too.

Lack of Editorial Relevance

Beffalo Springer

As far as the app goes, it loads, and it's easy to navigate. But navigate to what? Far too many of the articles require a click through to another site. Why? Oh yeah sponsored links about "this weird trick", or a new rule in Niagara Falls. Not becoming for a serious news organization. There are no world news stories or national columnists. And for some reason they are not updating any of the advice columns. No Dear Abby, Miss Manners, Carolyn Hax, Money Manners or Car Talk. Some of the "top stories" are days old and/or positioned differently in the lineup. They had a feature posted about local breweries up for two weeks. No weather link. C'mon! Finally-are the brains behind the operation really that horny for ad revenue that advertising is interspersed within the obituary pages? Digital access is included with my print subscription and I generally think the News is one of the best PRINT newspapers in the country. Bet this low feature, schlocky,content-lite-poor-excuse-for-a news-source is bush league. Guys, you've got to do better.

Avoid app, use web

ssbuffalony

This app is abbreviated to the point of uselessness. No comments on articles. Use the web version of this newspaper and avoid this app.

Disappointing

DrScroats

I used to use this ap regularly, especially when traveling. But the latest update is disappointing, as so many of the articles now require that you click to the website. Also, none of the Arts & Living columns are updated. Some display columns from 2 months ago.

Annoying

Iqbal DNS

Lately none of the content is on the app. All the articles force you to go to their poorly designed news site. Even the newspaper is trimming down. The only section that looks bigger is the sports section. I am considering buying a subscription to the New York Times

Not Refreshing Stories

Mikey 7mc

This app has basically been frozen in time for 3 days. Four days before that the same problem was occurring. How can an organization that wants to be taken as a legitimate, major American newspaper not resolve issues in a timely fashion? Embarrass!

Latest version doesn't work

Ougrad75

Terrible app that now doesn't work. Stories do not refresh. Old stories stay forever. And when it does work the app makes you open the story in another app.

Backwards

Sashayuli

Content doesn't refresh for days at a time. I think perhaps they've completely abandoned the app. Unfortunately, the browser version of BN is now a randomly organized mix of meaningless images and trivial text. Perhaps a plot to keep us from canceling the paper version.

Terrible update

Cyber us

This is by far the worst update ever. No world and national news. Days old story's on website and app. Story's and photos nobody cares about. To many photos and you are directed to another site. I have never ever visited a website so out of order as yours I'm canceling my subscription and I will now read the nytimes and the nypost. The print edition even went downhill .
