On 10th May 1940 the Battle of France began after the German army entered the low countries of Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg. Within weeks the French army was forced to surrender and the British army had retreated at Dunkirk.
To add to the French agony the Italian army also invaded Southern France in support of the Germans. The allied armies had some excellent tanks and soldiers but their strategy was flawed and their tactics dated and unable to deal with the German Blitzkrieg!

Just bought a Blitzkrieg “campaign” and finished casual, standard, and hard levels in a couple hours at most. It seems to me when i would download a lite version in the past, and then pay for the full version, i would get MUCH more than one six episode campaign. Cmon guys, either offer more for what you’re asking me to pay or offer user ability to create our own battle scenarios also, why can’t you allow users to reset their game scores and achieved levels. I appreciate the historical attention to WW2 realism of weaponry strength and the game IS fun but now you have a template of weopany, terrain, etc , so creating a new campaign is fairly quick yes? . Come on guys, go back to the spirit of value rather than charging the same amount and giving us less or you might lose a lot of repeat customers like me.

I'm a big fan of all the hex war tank battle games...the Eastern Front series, 1944. The relatively new Normandy is great too. So far this one leaves me lukewarm. There are a fair number of different unit types, in name at least, but their performance in terms of combat effectiveness is very similar, in that the relative firepower and defensive strength across different units varies little. Fair enough, I suppose since at this time period the real game changer was tactics, not superiority in weapon design. (Hence "Blitzkrieg"). So while the game is perhaps historically accurate, the game play is sort of boring.

Don't anyone check these apps? Both exploit and southern front end in a loss regardless of a win, both in the fourth scenario. Good game otherwise.

I would have given more stars were it not for the issues with several scenarios...namely one cannot advance to the next mission when earning a victory. All this means there are see ark missions that one cannot play. This issue seems to be cropping up lately with a couple other games.

British valley and Menton cannot be won. I've beat em both but do not get the victory and advance to the next battle. Also, the weapons are not all that. My small arms platoons do greater damage than the tanks. Either way I own all of your tank games, civil war and Rebel n redcoats. Need more civil and revolutionary war games.

This game really needs a multiplayer section and you have to buy 3of the 6 campaigns and sign up to emails to buy another. You should include it all in the purchase.Love the new units!
Glaring Bug

I'll update this when it's fixed but for now this gets one star for having a glaring bug that still hasn't been fixed. As others have mentioned two of the scenarios (that cost extra on top of that) cannot be won because you can't get past the fourth stage. I love your games but this needs to be fixed.

Surprising how many major bugs are in this app. There was obviously no beta testing of this disaster. Or rather, if you buy this app, you're paying to test it for HexWar Games.

I really enjoy all of the hex war ww2 games. The first version of this game was a bit disappointing due to some bugs. But they corrected them on this version. So, I would now recommend this game if you liked the other ww2 games by Hexwar...
